I'm fortunate to have grown up here in the Bay Area, and in a family that values meals cooked with love and a sense of tradition. My eyes were opened to the politics of food in college, when I ate in a student-run cooperative. I’ve been continuing my education on food politics ever since, and I’m thrilled about working at Urban Sprouts because I believe that gardening and education are some of the most tangible ways we can regain control and sovereignty of our food system.
