Anna van Riel is an independent award-winning singer/songwriter from the deep south of New Zealand. With her 3rd album, Whistle and Hum, in the making Anna is set to embark on a sustainable house concert tour of the North-West of the United States. Taking a troubador approach to music, Anna focuses on sharing her musical tales along with her quirky folk and bluegrass songs to a listening audience. Anna's sound has been likened to a combination of Joni Mitchell and Natalie Merchant.
