The mustache twirling villain doesn't scare me. Obvious evil does not exist in the world, its much more charismatic and camouflaged. I write every character with a sense of humanity no matter how evil they appear in history books. Its far more frightening to me to think that the every day ordinary man is capable of horrendous atrocities.
