Life is not a discovery, it is a creation.

Born and raised in Northern Ireland in a small fishing village where I developed an interest and passion in marine life. At twelve years old I had to decide whether to be a cameraman or a marine biologist.....Marine biology won through and I completed a BSc in Marine Biology in 2006.

Since then I have travelled to different parts of the world including a round the world trip in 2010/11. During that time, I lived on Utila in Honduras for four months volunteering to protect the island's endemic Swamper iguana population and after completing a SCUBA Dive Master course. As fate would have it, I am back on Utila this year helping my friend Maja Zonjic produce a short documentary on sustainable tourism. For the last four years, my life has always built toward the next adventure in some foreign land meeting new and interesting friends. It makes sense to try and do that in a manner that does not leave a damaging footprint on the local landscape.

I have previously worked on a marine renewable engergy project in Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland. My job was to protect marine mammals that live in the Lough i.e. local seal populations, dolphins and purpoises. In September 2010 I volunteered on a turtle conservation project protecting Leatherback, Green and Hawksbill turtle populations from poachers while also helping the local community. In March 2012, I returned to the project to help run it for six months (the egg laying season) and will be returning in the next few years to do the same.

Consciously or not, my life and travels have steered me to these worthwhile projects meeting amazing people and having the time of my life. I wish to have more of these good times.
