Andrea Tomaselli

I was born in Catania in Sicily, where I’ve learned to love the sea, the comics, the Etna volcano, the books, the confectionery and the movies.<br>I&nbsp; have been writing since I was 16 and I’ve never stopped. At the beginning it was poetry, then fiction and at the end screenwriting. Writing has become a real ‘drug’, to be assumed day and night, working days and holydays, alone or with others.<br>When I was 26 I had to leave Catania, during life happens you have to leave what you’ve loved the most. I&nbsp; move to Torino for studying cinema. I’ve admired lots of directors, between them the bests are Frank Capra, Roberto Rossellini, Andrej Tarkovskij, Stanley Kubrick, F.F. Coppola, Michael Cimino, Alan Parker and Peter Weir. In Torino I’ve started shooting short-films as director and working with young producers. I’ve also started to teach. I got back into the school system, no more as a student but as a teacher. Zooschool’s screenplay come from that experience. <br>With the woman I love I’ve done what I think is the most beautiful thing I could do in my life: a son. Now I want to do what stays at the second place: my first feature film… hopefully with your help!<br>
