But there are plenty of other reasons that I would like to share with the people who read my site. Going to college was an eye opening experience for me that gave me the opportunity to find myself in a time where I was not sure what I wanted to do with my life. I met some amazing new people and while at school I really found my niche in the business world. When taking my intro to entrepreneurship class we were given a task to create our own company in which our idea would "change the world" in our own minds. I had a really hard time figuring out what I wanted to do because I had a lot of ideas. I wanted to create something that benefited a lot of people and not just me, something that in the future I would be able to give back to my community. So trying to think things over I went out to dinner with my friends and tried to bounce ideas off of them. As we were discussing this I realized that as I was eating my chicken parmesean everyone else was eating salads. Feeling guilty about not eating healthier I joked around asking why everyone was making me look like the fatty and why they were all eating healthy. They just chuckled and said "well at least you can pick something other than a salad". I was confused as to why they would say that until it hit me that all my friends were vegetarian or vegan, and at this point I felt really du Smb making jokes. They began ranting about how most restaurants only offered dishes such as salads or soups that most vegetarian and vegans could choose from unless they went to a restaurant that soley provided these options for them. Amazed at what I learned I decided to test it out myself, I decided to become a vegetarian for a week and soley go out to eat and see how hard it was, and let me tell you, its not easy trying to find meatless options that appealed to my type of appetite. After that experience I was shown a world where a growing majority of people in this area were having a hard time basically satisfying their need for food on a college budget. Most people had to go out and buy their own food because not only where there no restaurants that offered a variety of food that they needed but the school offered select dishes on select days that the vegetarians and vegans of the college could not regularly depend on. Seeing this struggle and watching a truly moving documentary called "Forks Over Knives" I decided to name my project in dedication to my friend and other students who are having a hard time satisfying their dietary needs. I decided to call my project "Veg'n Out Cafe" as a inside joke with my friends because it was a place that offered a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes but I wanted to create a place that encouraged people to come in enjoy a meal or snack and just forget about their troubles and just as we would say "Veg out". During the last year of my college career I developed this plan and entered it in business competitions earing top marks and a greater appreciation from college students who knew what I was doing. I decided that this is what I wanted to do with my life, to create a change in the world in a way, to provide healthier eating options for the average eater, but also provide a place that won't just have a salad or a vegetable platter for the restricted eater, but create a cafe that offers food ranging from breakfast to a small bakery that provides consumers with vegetarian/vegan/gluten free products. Which is why I need everyone's help. Help to fund this project in a world that doesn't give recognition to an idea like mine, where people who hear the word vegetarian make jokes or undermine the idea because it "does not apply to them". I know I am asking for a lot, for people to take the time to donate money to an idea that may not even fully come to be, but I'm asking everyone that reads this, take a chance on me, I am fully committed and dedicated to this project and I will do EVERYTHING in my power to make this happen. I know most of my cries and rants will fall on deaf ears but to those who donated already know that I know you are and know that I aprpeciate everything and ever dollar helps make this dream a growing reality. So donate a dollar if you want or more or just show this site to someone you think would benefit from this, any exposure helps. Once again I would like to thank everyone who has shown me support on my endeavor and a sincere bottom of my heart thank you to your continued support of my dream.</p>
