***HELP THIS FILM TO SAVE THE RAINFOREST***

By the end of 2011, the unique proposal of Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa to leave the oil in the ground of the Yasuni national park in the Amazon rainforest will end. If the International Community of States does not act, 982.000 hectar of the planets green lungs will be irretrievably lost. President Correa asks the world to pay half of what his country would receive for the oil, and offers to use this money for sustainable energy projects instead.

The documentary Yasuni two seconds of life by Ecuadorian filmmaker Leonardo Wild explains this complex case and offer to the world. We only have eleven and a half months left to spread the information about Ecuador's proposal by distributing the film around the world. That's why we ask for your financial and ideational support.

Right now, this is an avant-garde project.

***OUR STORY***

The documentary sheds light on this exceptional offer to the world community and lets every party involved have a say, be it politicians, scientists, representatives of oil companies or indigenous people. This extensive, partly disturbing picture is rounded out by a musical journey through Ecuador.

***THE IMPACT***

The clock is ticking. Ecuador presented its offer to the world already in 2007. Until the end of 2011 the industrialized countries have time to react. In light of the fact that the destruction of our planet has already advanced way too far and many people do not want to support this any more, it is high time to raise more awareness for the necessary change in energy politics and spread our message so that even politicians will hear it.

Yasun two seconds of life is an important contribution to raise awareness around the globe. The more people see the existing biodiversity of the Yasuni national park, its indigenous peoples and the destruction that has already happened due to oil extraction, the faster everyone will realize that now is the time to choose a new path.

***WHAT WE NEED AND WHAT YOU GET***

We need to act fast and reach as many people as possible, that's why we want to bring the film to international film festivals and a worldwide audience. Therefore, we need to finance submission fees for festivals, screening DVDs for festivals and promotion material, such as press kits, posters, post cards and advertisements. We need to pay for graphic design, translations and a press agent. The more money we raise the bigger our campaign will be. So every contribution counts.
