Our Story
We are Sean David and Steven Tylor O'Connor. Two friends who met in New York City via Facebook through a mutual friend. Sean needed help casting a film he was producing and Steven volunteered to help cast the project because of his experience working at CBS/ Paramount and NBCUniversal. They've been close friends ever since.
In 2010, Sean and Steven produced "A Fairy Tale" starring Sherry Vine with Michael Aronowitz which has been screening all of the world in film festivals as far away as Brazil. After the overwhelmingly positive responses to "A Fairy Tale" Sean and Steven started planning their next project and thus "Welcome to New York" was born.
With your generous donation, Michael, Sean and Steven will be able to shoot "Welcome to New York" on location in New York City.
The Impact
"Welcome to New York" is an artistic love letter to New York City in the form of five short films edited together into a long short. A humorous look at the uniquely random and crazy experiences shared by residents of New York City. The entire project is based on true stories from people currently living in New York City about when they first moved to the Big Apple.
This series of short films will give the world an inside, artistic and comedic look at true New York City experiences. This city has quite a reputation around the world, and "WTNY" will promote the culture of this thriving city in an inviting way to all audiences.
If our campaign isn't successful, this project cannot happen. If this project funds, Michael, Sean and Steven will be creating over 30 paying jobs which will help not only the cast and crew, but the local economy. Furthermore, if the project funds we will be able to provide quality, uplifting and genuine entertainment to you, our audience.
What We Need & What You Get
Our goal is to raise $25,000. 5 films for $25,000? What a deal!
Our Indie Go-Go Goal is $10,000. Michael, Sean and Steven have secured investors who are interested in supporting the project, but only if we succeed in reaching our goal here on Indie Go-Go.

Pre-Production (Audition spaces, securing locations, costumes, props, etc) - $2,000
Cast and Crew (Paying the actors and crew members for their time while on set for 12+ hours) - $3,000
Rentals and Expenses (Renting equipment to shoot the project, food for the actors, parking, etc) - $3,000
Post-Production and Marketing (Publicity materials, festival submissions, editing the project, color correction, sound, etc) - $2,000
*Please note: expenses will correspond with amount of money raised.
Don't miss our unique perks! With a donation of $50 or more, you'll be in the credits of the movie, and will receive an autographed DVD of the completed series. We are also offering a phone call with one of the cast members, a walk on role in the series, and the chance to be an Associate or Executive Producer on the series.
