Growing up as an artist wasn’t easy. Surrounded by talent and intelligence, but gifted with a free spirit, made it even more challenging. Both parents could be considered genius to some, an older brother who stole the limelight during his teen years because his intelligence, coordination, and his skill at art. This made life for Shane really competitive. He experimented in film making at the age of 12 making a short film complete with special effects called Doubles Troubles. Frustrated with his ability that seemed too amateur to ever go anywhere, he set this endeavor aside and focused on music. From here he gained some confidence and made his way back to film. After several years of pursuit and training in acting, in 2005 at the age of 28 he was working on his first $2million dollar feature film. The experience of this would forever change him. It is from this film that he learned that this is what he would spend the rest of his life pursuing. All that he learned growing up pointed out that this is where he should be. He learned how to work with others who were creative, he learned how to work with actors, painters, construction workers, musicians, mechanics, and electricians. With a high aptitude for mechanics with a bit of creative flair he began to build equipment to mimic what he saw on big budget films in order to allow him to do the same. From that feature film on he has referred to himself as a film maker and every day takes a step toward that goal of making the next film. Maybe you can help!
