My story is certainly a changing thing. My initial intention was to make the trip to Seattle to attend the Generation Waking Up training and then tour back across Canada. That was until I discovered the Bus the Change peeps. Not only did they have an existing plan, structure, and RV for touring, but they had a TEAM. A small group of dedicated, passionate young people who want to do the same thing as me, inspire positive transformation! Not only that, but they were looking for an OPENING ACT, and when I saw that, I knew that I was the one for the job and had to go for it.
So here I am, in Oakland, California, writing, planning, organizing, and affirming that every thing has worked out and lead me to exactly where I want to be, and where I need to be.
Our plans are to raise money, adapt the Wake Up, book more dates, practice delivering the Wake Up, and hit the road in April tio go on our exciting tour, learning how we can speak to and draw out what it is our generation really wants to do. That is what happened in Egypt, Wael Ghonim and his prganizer friends just did what they felt was right, using facebook and twitter to organize and it TOOK OFF because that's what the people wanted and were feeling. I don't know if South Western American youth are ready in the same way, or even know what they are wanting, but we will find out, and we are ready to deliver the inspiring truth of our generation's story.
We are the ones we've been waiting for!
My Story
What really makes me come alive is giving myself and my passions to help the world come together and solve the greatest social, environmental, and spiritual challenges of our time. I get really excited when I think of a thriving, sustainable, just, peaceful global family, living in harmony with the natural world. One global citizenship that loves, shares and cares for each other and the Earth.
On Feb 14th I am traveling from Guleph On, to Seattle WA, to train to be a facilitator of a workshop called Wake Up! The Wake Up! workshop inspires, empowers, and motivates youth, and I will be giving up everything I have to travel across Canada to make my contribution to the largest movement in human history, the movement towards a thriving, socially just, environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling world.

My goal is to raise enough funds to get
me to the training in Seattle. After the training I hope to partner with a group of facilitators who are taking the workshop on the road through California. Bus The Change is the name of this campaign and I hope to be the opening act as well as a skilled and engaging facilitator. This will teach me what I need to know and how we can work together to make as blueprint so myself and others can do the same thing and multiply the mobile global change squads that will eventually be in every city and every school in North America...and the World!
I will write blogs, songs, poetry, and make recordings of the workshops that will be made available on-line to everyone.
The Impact
I intend to work with other youth to creatively activate the hearts and minds of young people everywhere I go to take action and join the movement of all movements to transform our world. It is my hope that we not just document but collecting data, and connecting organizations and people in communities across the country that aim to create a sustainable, just, and thriving world. The worldwide movement is approaching a tipping point. There are millions of environmental and social organizations and hundreds of millions of caring, committed individuals working towards this noble collective goal to spread the word, spread the love, and come together for the good of all.
Each additional active young human cell will speed up this healing movement and the process towards peace and sustainability exponentially. The end impact is becoming that much more closer to a thriving, just, peaceful, sustainable world.
*In the off chance that I fall short on my goal, I will take a bus to Seattle and limit the scope of my project to BC and Southern Ontario for the time being.
