WHO ARE WE?

Rampant Entertainment is an Indie production company I started while attending the Art Institute of LasVegas. After graduation, I moved back to my home town. Yuma Arizona. Situated on the Mexican border Yuma has been a location for some of Hollywood's biggest films including "Return of the Jedi" "Stargate" "The Scorpian King" and "Rambo 3", but has never had a film community of it's own.

As  a local boy I sought a way to give my creativity an outlet. Now returning as an adult i have found that chance. In 2007 I began seeking out other talented individuals in Yuma. People with the creativity and ambition to make great movies, even with limited funds and resources. This year we achieved that dream by producing the first film to made entirely in Yuma, by local film makers. Our suspense thriller "Deadly Renovations" not only brought together local talent as never before, but has also spawned two production companies. Rampant Entertainment Inc, and Paisaen Productions, with others now forming.

Deadly Renovations has been picked up by Acort International. We have both domestic and international distribution as well as DVD, cable and direct streaming coming in 2012. With that set in motion, it is time to focus on the next project.

"VIRTUE" is a genre film in the spirit of the great thrillers and horror films of the late 1970's. Set Sixteen years after a grizzly murder at a small town lake, a group of teens decide to celebrate graduation with a party on the very spot. Local legend set aside the group heads to the water but run into a gang of bikers who happen to be camping just across the lagoon from them. After the local sheriff warns both camps to leave each other alone someone turns up dead and both parties blame each other for the tragedy until one by one they are picked off by an unseen killer. Written and directed by "Deadly Renovations" director Robert H. Gwinn, with a talented cast of up and coming talent as well as seasoned professionals, and starring Lana Wood "Diamonds are Forever" and DJ Perry "Darkest Night"

Our goal is to begin production in the early spring, prior to the typically record breaking summer heat Yuma is known for. We have already begun pre-production on a shoe string and started casting. Websites are up and active and we already have close to 1,000 fans on Facebook. As with "Deadly Renovations" we are teaming up with CDI (Collective Development Inc.) out of Lansing Michigan, who's proven track record gives us an edge in the teaming sea of indie films seeking distribution. We hope that with the continued success of "Deadly Renovations" the enthusiastic support of our growing fan-base, and your support, that we can deliver a film worthy of that encouraging support, by the fall of 2013.

The Impact

The production of "VIRTUE" will not only bring creative employment opportunities to a city with one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, but it will stimulate the economy by using local services and locations.. Culturally "VIRTUE" will give another needed boost to artistic awareness and community pride. 

What We Need & What You Get

We are hoping to raise about half of our estimated budget, or $100,000 of our estimated $200,000 budget. Other investors are expected to match a portion of the funds equal to approximately half of what we raise, but potentially doubling our funds, all of witch will be used to give us the highest production quality with the most efficient use of all our assets. This will give us the funds we need to secure locations, upgrade software, secure our insurance bond, camera and lighting gear, hire crew, and book travel, food and hotel expenses for cast and crew. A portion of funds will go to the early marketing and product awareness campaigns. After all, it's not who you know, it's who knows you. We are offering some great perks at all levels of contribution.
