Vipul H. Divecha is an artist, illustrator, aspiring film maker and story teller based out of Houston, Texas. Vipul was born in Mozambique, Maputo and was raised in Alief in Houston, Texas. His family has roots in India, and some of artwork reflects his own rich cultural heritage, as well as the cultures and locations that he encountered during his upbringing.

Vipul was drawn to stories, books, and drawings as a child and was predominantly self taught with exception to his three years of print making during his undergraduate years. Upon finding printmaking, Vipul found performance art, then film, then writing. Over the course of a few years, his artistic journey lead to the sudden release of an explosive tidal wave of creative expression. From organized chaos Vipul brings works of art through film, drawings, illustrations and written fiction based stories. Vipul has also been a communication designer for over ten years, and is actively exhibiting his art work in in Houston, Texas.

Currently Vipul is taking on a few communication design projects from local organizations and is also planning  his first feature length documentary about the South Asian Indian artist experience in America. Vipul is also serving on the Artistic Advisory Board for Suchu Dance, a contemporary dance company based out of Houston, Texas.
