Our Story
Bold Measures Productions(Films) was founded by Phil Lorenzo in 2011 to create a top class film production company that would create different and bold works of cinematic art. This year, Bold Measures co-created an award winning 48 hour film project film that is being submitted into film festivals, and now we feel ready for the next project, the horror short CLOWN TEARS. The film is going into production in March 2012. This is an unconventional horror film in that it will pay homage to the Giallo and Spanish Horror genres with an Asian American heavy cast.
The Impact
This film is another test of our skills as filmmakers, and it will be a new way of seeing Asian Americans on screen. Without more stylized choices for Asian American actors to sink their teeth into, we feel that the image of Asian Americans on screen will be limited to conventional cinema. This film will show that Asian American leads can be featured in any genre of any type. Also, we just want to make a cool Horror film!!!
What We Need & What You Get
We need $6500 for Camera Rental, Studio/Set Rental and Sound. There are also discretionary funds for accommodations for actors that are coming from out of town (if necessary) and other expenses related directly to the production of the film.
