My name is Harold Wimberly and I’m the producer/writer for Trickin’ the movie.
I have been writing films for years and when I was about to try and pitch the screenplays, I stopped when I heard the horror stories from writers.
The screenwriters paradox also made me feel uneasy. If you try to get and agent, they tell you they represent talent that has been produced. You talk to a production company and they want the work presented by an agent.
So I decided to not only write but produce. I have connections in the movie business and I think my films will appeal to a niche audience that loves these kinds of movies.
Tyler Perry gets trashed by the critics but his movies open at number one. The urban market is underserved and I have a lot of material that will appeal to them.
