Now he needs you
Making films costs money. This 30-minute-film will cost money too.
In september 2012 it will be premiered at the international Film by the Sea festival in The Netherlands. And it needs YOUR support! Your support makes you part of the filmmaking process! We have 100 days to complete the funding of this project.
Contribute to the film and you'll get a very nice reward! Also, you can choose an other amount of money to contribute, if you wish, so claim your perk on the right of this page to make this project happen! ------------------->
And please, click one of the buttons above and share this campaign on Facebook, Twitter, etcetera.
Also, please share the link traumafilm.nl, so other people can find this page.
Also, if you're not in the position of using a credit card/paypal, you can try my bank account: ABNAMRO, 615028624, name: RR Schouw, description: TRAUMA, or contact Ruben Schouw for other options: you can leave a comment in the tab above or send an email: rubenschouw@gmail.com
What is TRAUMA about?
TRAUMA is a story about a soldier on a mission who discovers a terrible secret. A secret that will change his and many others lives forever.
Why should this movie be made?
This movie points out the importance of helping traumatized people. What could happen if they are being ignored. Soldiers coming back from a warzone should never be forgotten after they've experienced so many horrors. They are still one of us.
What's in it for you?
Did you know the script for this film has already won a best script prize? And now you could be a part of that!
If you are prepared to help Schouw shoot TRAUMA, you will get favors in return, depending on how much you are willing to donate.
Think about:
- your name as an associate producer in the end credits
- a DVD copy
- help edit the movie
- a copy of the original script
- participate in a party with cast and crew at the festival
- and more
(also, if, for any reason, you won't be able to attend any of the higher rewards mentioned (for example: you're not able to fly to the Netherlands for the premiere), we will discuss other appropriate possibilities with you.)
Is that all?
No! Besides all these extras, you will also receive the FRAMES of the FILM you've contributed to, BEFORE the film premieres!
Let's explain this: The film will be shot at 24 frames per second. The film will be about 30 minutes long, or 1800 seconds long. 1800 x 24 = 43200. So the film will be 43200 frames long. So, if for example you've contributed 1% of the total budget of the film, theoretically you've financed the creation of 1% of 43200 frames. Which means that you will be able to receive 432 frames.
That is an 18 second sneak preview of the film!
Other ways to help!
We know it's not possible for everybody to donate, and that's not a problem. You can still help by sharing this campaign with friends, family and colleagues (see the buttons above, just below the teaser), "like" it on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Traumamovie, send by email, Twitter etc. It's just a small favor, but you will really be helping the TRAUMA film.
What if...
The funding goal hasn't been reached?
Don't worry! The film will still be made. Your contributions will be spent wisely. Schouw has proven himself a creative mind regarding financial solutions. His first NO BUDGET short won him the encouragement prize at the Film by the Sea festival. The TRAUMA teaser was shot with a 25 dollar budget only! But the actual TRAUMA film cannot be shot for 25 dollars... Your contributions will be spent wisely on hiring a camera crane, catering, file conversion (Pro Res 422 HQ to DCP, for theatrical release), actors, weapons, etc. If the funding won't be sufficient, we'll just hire a smaller crane, we'll just drink self-made orange juice in stead of Coke or Pepsi and Schouw will be a medical guinea pig to finance the file conversion.
And finally, THANK YOU in advance! We hope to hear from you soon.
(don't forget to spread the word, click the buttons to share on Facebook and/or Twitter!)

See you at the Film by the Sea festival!
