Rachel Ayoub grew up in a library in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. She was the good Jewish girl, preferring books and TV to her sisters wild child behavior of staying out late and dating bad boys. Rachel went to Ohio State University, where she studied theatre. After two years, Rachel left OSU to work in Cleveland and travel. She learned some Arabic and traveled to the United Arab Emirates. Ultimately Rachel spent most of her time in the fantastical worlds in her head. She left Cleveland to spend a year studying screenwriting at the Vancouver Film School, where she wrote the short film Stuffed, co-wrote the short film musical Out of Here and won a Best Writing award for the short film Needle in the Hay at a 48 Hour Film Festival. She has also written a feature film based on the legend of Pandoras Box called Julies Jar, a spec script of the show Psych, and two original TV pilots, a sitcom, called Life As a Teenage Ghost and a drama about fairy tale princesses as teenagers called Before the Tower. Rachel is currently working on a spec script for the show Supernatural and producing her short film, Because I Lied to You? Rachel plans on working in TV and eventually being the showrunner on a series she creates.
