|
A group of strangers are joined by circumstance on the road to change. An historic journey to the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Hussein Obama, the 44th President of the United States.
STORYLINE:
Martin Kingsley is a passionate and determined young man with an old soul. He experienced the Million Man March with his now ailing father and promised him he would return to D.C. for the Swearing-in Ceremony for the 44th President, and when Barack Obama takes the oath of office, Martin plans to make an oath of his own that involves his girlfriend Amber and her unborn daughter Hope.
Flip, Martin’s childhood friend, is an impulsive opportunist who measures his success by financial gain. Although he has strong opinions about everything, Flip is a convicted felon who has lost his right to vote. Although he doesn’t believe in change, his company bus and a group of desperate Obama supporters just gave him an idea to make some quick money…
INSPIRED BY:
Spike Lee’s, “Get on the Bus” (1996) with Hill Harper, Harry Lennix, Bernie Mac, Roger Guenveur Smith, Isaiah Washington, Ossie Davis, Charles S. Dutton and others.
