About Me
Thomas John Bacon is an artist whose work focuses upon the conception of the
body, Being & the idea of a multiplicit Self in performance. Beginning in
experimental theatre it can now be located within the framework of sub-cultural
& philosophical investigations that are characterised through their use of
live art/body art, & a manipulation of Butoh methodologies in performance
practice. Thomas has performed at an extensive range of festivals & venues
within the UK and internationally. He has a Masters from Goldsmiths College,
University of London in Performance and currently lectures on a variety of
performing arts courses. In 2009 Thomas began his research towards a doctorate
with Bristol University. He is also an associate artist of Leibniz.
