About The Neil Bernard Show Fringe Festival Tour

The Neil Bernard Show is an original 90-minute multimedia/musical/variety/sketch comedy one man show from the mysteriously unique mind of the always creative funnyman Neil Bernard that involves everything from crazy characters to outrageous stories to music to costumes to props to puppets to animated sequences to many, many, many fun surprises.

It is the dream project that Neil Bernard has been writing for 10 years. He has always wanted to do a comedy tour across the United States and Canada, and now is finally his time to do so. However, he needs your help! Please help this visionary auteur achieve the first of his many enormous artistic entrepreneurial ventures by contributing a donation to support his enjoyable art across the continent through Fringe Theatre Festivals for the summer of 2012. Even the smallest donations for his tremendous endeavor of this incredible one man show and comedy tour will not go unnoticed.

All contributions made to The Neil Bernard Show before the last week of October 2011 will go towards the very expensive application fees for each Fringe Theatre Festival across the United States and Canada. The total amount raised will be used to enter The Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals (CAFF) Tour Lottery. If The Neil Bernard Show does not get accepted into the CAFF Tour Lottery, than this production will be entered into each citys Fringe Festival on the CAFF circuit individually. The Neil Bernard Show will also be entered in Fringe Festivals throughout the United States, Europe, and Australia as well as The USO Tour and Comedy Festivals throughout North America following its comedy tour on the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals Circuit. If contributions surpass the original goal of nine-thousand dollars ($9000), the remaining amount of donations will go towards travel expenses, advertising, costumes, props, puppets, and funding for the stop-motion animated sequences within the context of the program.

About The Artist

Neil Bernard is a true artist with a wide range of talents. His motivation and dedication to follow his artistic passion and daring achievements in the entertainment industry have won him respect from peers and mentors alike within the film and theater community where he currently resides in Orlando, Florida. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Neil has always been gifted with natural abilities in the arts from an early age. His artistic curiosity in drawing, painting, singing, dancing, acting, and playing musical instruments eventually got him accepted into Torontos acclaimed Claude Watson School for the Arts. He eventually moved to Cleveland, Ohio, USA where he graduated high school and heavily studied video production at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center earning him a Technical Certificate in Media Technology. While in high school, he produced and directed live multiple-camera video productions of his high school football games and several live-action and animated short films in which he won awards for. After high school and vocational school, Neil moved to Orlando, Florida to double major at Valencia College in Film Production Technology and Theatre/Drama/Dramatic Arts and has received degrees in both fields of study. He also graduated every improv class offered at SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando including their improv master classes such as Musical Improv, and he has taken improv workshops at The Second City Training Centre in Toronto where he originally discovered his passion for the art of improvisational comedy. Within almost a decade of writing and performing comedy, he entered the professional world by producing two successful, ambitious, energetic, hour-long one man comedy shows at The Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival in 2010 and 2011, and he is currently producing his newest one man show, Whoops!, for the 2011 Orlando Comedy Festival. Along with performing in numerous plays and independent films, Neil has also worked on the crews of several films and television shows including Family Feud (The CW), American Idol (FOX), So You Think You Can Dance (CBS), The Biggest Loser (NBC), and Just Another Day (BET) as well as concerts for artists such as Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, The Backstreet Boys, New Kids On The Block, and several others proving that he is dedicated to working in the entertainment industry. Neil plans to continue his path in show business with his upcoming sketch comedy series on his artistic website, NeilBernard.com (Launching Fall 2011), moving to Chicago, Illinois to study full time comedy writing and improvisation at The Second City and Improv Olympic, and producing his original feature-length films starting next year.
