SOUNDS AMAZING RIGHT?...HERE'S WHERE YOU COME IN: We need to raise money to pay for costumes, gas, feed performers, and to cover any unexpected road-bumps or repairs along the way. We are all professional performers who dedicate the "9-5" (and beyond) slot in our lives to making art in a society where art and performance is perceived as an "extracurricular", and thus financed as such. We work tremendously hard hours, literally around the clock, pursuing our passions, seeking to elevate our fields, educating and inspiring the public, and integrating artists of traditionally segregated fields together and into mainstream awareness. This tour will give us the opportunity to create and distribute a show that will showcase our lifetimes of passionate pursuit of our art forms, in a uniquely dynamic collaboration of six sensational, professional performers.

With minimal support, the tour will be able to go only so far; with greater support we will be able to afford to visit an increasing number of cities across the West Coast. As performing artists, we earn our living on a "gig-by-gig" basis, and have no set annual salaries. As most of the revenue from the shows will be going back into production fees, we need an extra sum to cover living and traveling expenses; primarily gas, costumes, and food on the road. Currently, we are taking donations for our $3,000 Preliminary Road Paving Campaign; the proceeds of which will go to the initial rounds of preparation for the tour (including booking fees, tour transportaiton arrangement, costumes, and promotion). To ensure that the Mata Hari Hustle hits the road running, we welcome, at any time, your secure, tax-deductible donation of any amount on this page. Every dollar helps! When you donate, you will receive a receipt, thanks to our sponsoring nonprofit, Fractured Atlas; save it for tax season, and stay tuned for our updates on our progress! Thank you!

WAYS TO STAY INVOLVED:

1) Make a secure, tax-deductible donation here! If you're just happy to give money, and don't want to claim a "Perk" incentive (t-shirt, etc.), you can just give the money straight, and even more money will go to our tour. (To do this, please just click on the claim no perk option when you pay.) Thanks!

2) Watch where your money's going, stay updated, and spread the word:

Today the project also includes the visual entertainment of the Swing Era as well. Swing Time is highly involved with Circus, Cabaret, Burlesque, Vaudeville, and other Variety Shows in and up and down the West Coast.

WANDERLUST CIRCUS (Noah Mickens) http://wanderlustcircus.com

The ways of the Circus are older than the nightclubs, older than the banks, older than the cities. These most ancient of performative traditions have always existed just slightly to the left of the Mundane World. Now, at the first flickering of the 21st Century, our piebald clan is once again shedding its skin and remaking itself in the funhouse mirror image of The Second Great Depression.

To aid and abet this latest glorious rebirth, Wanderlust has established itself as the premiere circus operation in The City of Roses, helmed by Noah Mickens and Nick "The Creature" Harbar, and drawing from a roster of performers, designers and technicians from all the greatest shows on Earth. Acrobats, aerialists, hand balancers, stilt dancers, trick ropers, jugglers and jazz-bos, crooners and clowns; these arts are our chosen creed, our map through the wilderness.
