OUR STORY
The Qntana Trilogy is an ambitious trio of fantasy feature films in the tradition of Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. The first of the three films is The MoonQuest, based on Mark David Gersons award-winning and critically acclaimed novel. The sequels, The StarQuest and The SunQuest continue this epic adventure.
Our Indie GoGo campaign is a first step toward bringing these films to the big screen: Its designed to finance three compelling trailers one for each film that will attract investors for this independent feature-film production.
THE IMPACT
The MoonQuest is the perfect kickoff to this trilogy and will be a must-see for any lover of stories and storytelling. It takes place in a time and place where stories have been banned, storytellers have been put to death and the moon, saddened by the silence, has cried tears that have extinguished her light. The MoonQuest chronicles one reluctant young bards journey to bring story back to the land and light back to the moon. That young bard is Toshar.
The StarQuest and The SunQuest continue the Qntana saga by following Toshars daughter, Qnta, and her son, Ben, on their quests to end a tyrants grip on the land and its people. Qnta does it through the power of unconditional love; Ben, by facing down his own inner demons.
These are more than gripping stories filled with stunning visual effects. They are visionary tales guaranteed to inspire viewers to make the same life-affirming decisions and transformative changes that they will have seen and experienced on the screen.
Finally, we will be contributing to New Mexicos growing film industry by providing quality film credits for talented actors and crew members and by mentoring students in Central New Mexico Community Colleges Film Technician Program, who will be interning on this production.
WHAT WE NEED & WHAT YOU GET
As all three trailers are set in a medieval-type period, quality props, set dressings and costumes are a top priority. Such resources are not easily found in New Mexico, where convincing locations for this type of story can also be a challenge. Thus, most of your contributions will be used to create, purchase and/or rent whatever is required to bring authenticity to the screen. Your donations will also ensure that we have state-of-the-art equipment and that we can feed our all-volunteer cast, crew and postproduction team.
Our proposed goal of $3,000 is only 60 percent of our budget for all three trailers. The initial $3,000 will cover costs for The MoonQuest trailer. We are looking to raise an additional $2,000 to cover shorter trailers for The StarQuest and The SunQuest.
While were optimistic that well meet and exceed our goals for this campaign, we are committed to moving forward with the trailers and features, regardless. At the same time, your generous contributions will guarantee trailers of superlative quality certain to speed all three features to big screen.
