Inspired by Godards Masculine Feminine and Burnetts Killer of Sheep, The Booze is Good & the Girls are Pretty is a summery vignette about lust and successful youth set against the backdrop of a fading American dream and the current economic climate.

Film Synopsis

Two hotheaded ex-lovers that will never agree on why or how they

ended, but it doesnt matter anymore because they both hate Catcher in the

Rye. They're roommates now, the kind that have sex with each other out of

restlessness.


Simone is a pretty girl, and drives a blue Mini-Cooper. She aint spoiled

though, she bought the car herself. Ignacio likes to be called 'Ig', and dreams

about his grandfather, a dead matador. The economy is bad, and most people

never have a summer, but this is theirs.

Born in Colombia and raised in Florida, Jonatn Lpez moved to Texas in 2008.
He is entering his final year as an undergraduate of RTF at the University of
Texas at Austin.
