Written and Directed by Carlo Ortu
Produced by Matt Grimwood

Short Synopsis

A five minute thriller with a twist, told in reverse chronological order
that starts with a shocking discovery in the trunk of a stolen car being
used as a getaway vehicle by a group of bank robbers.

Directors Vision

I see The Birthday Present as a film with high production values. Very glossy and polished. The style will incorporate slick fluid camerawork handheld at times, reflecting the energy of the script. My biggest influence for this project comes from the work of Paul Greengrass who regularly deploys very quick and precise camera moves which conveys a quasi-documentary quality that would suit this story perfectly.

The film will be shot in full HD and aimed at all major national and international film festivals.
