Terence Nance was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and currently lives between New York City and Paris, France. Terence received his M.F.A. from New York University in 2007, and holds a B.A. in Studio Art from Northeastern University. His 2007 exhibitions included a solo show at the Rosenberg Gallery and group show at the Cynthia Broan Gallery, as well as a collaborative performance piece at the AdHoc Art Space. Terence was selected for the 2008 Independent Feature Project Narrative Lab and is a 2008 Harriet Hale Wooley Fellow. His work has been selected and screened at The Rooftop Film Festival, The Boston Underground Film Festival, New York Independent Film Week, and at various screenings across the country and abroad. Terence makes art as a means of creating culture. The culture is founded on the most basic yet progressive instruction that can be given: “Fly.” He is next piece will be a mixed-media work on skin bleaching practices worldwide.
