TEOTWAWKI (The End of The World as We Know It)- a fictional documentary produced by undercurrents.
An upbeat look at the end of the world as we know it.
TEOTWAWKI (or The End of The World as We Know It ) is not a story of disaster but of inspiration and community. We will imagine a world after fossil fuels have been depleted and the economy has collapsed. Our movie will mix documentary with drama to explore possible scenarios. Our main character will explore survivalist mentality, security, permaculture, low impact living, renewable energy, wild food, and off-grid living.
TEOTWAKWI will be set in the UK and USA after a socio-economic collapse. The central character in the film will be played by survival and Bushcraft expert Andrew Price. His character will be traveling through a range of different environments using his abilities to stay alive and find others who are rebuilding their lives. The movie will aim to inspire audiences and we hope to begin filming in September 2012 (so please fund us).
Andrew Price has been presenting a popular online video series about wilderness survival skills. Andrew will now play a TV survival expert (think Ray Mears, Cody Lundin or Bear Grylls) in this fictional documentary which we have dubbed a 'focumentary'.
We need just 700 people to give £20 ($25) each to make this movie happen. Every person will receive a perk.
Set in the near future, Andrew will travel across the UK and USA meeting communities creating positive ways of living. People who are generating their own energy, growing their own food and building their own homes.
The movie will be an inspiring and valuable resource for many of us wanting to live in a better future.

While Andrew will play a slightly altered version of himself, he will meet real people living in real situations on his journey. Our script will explore what would happen if the economy did collapse, and we all had to find new ways of surviving. Where would our energy, our food and water come from? It's time to get real.

Who are we?
The film will be produced by Undercurrents, an award winning media & arts charity based in the UK. We have produced many inspiring films and a number of popular online video series.
What will we produce?
TEOTWAWKI will be a feature length movie, and an online video series, available on DVD & Torrent download.

We have most of the professional video equipment we need, but we lack the funding to pay for our travel and general living costs while we are on the road. We have successfully worked on tiny budgets to produce very popular video series such as www.azbushcraft.com
Why do we need $20,000?
We are based in the UK so we will have to pay for travel to and across the USA for 6 weeks. We need funds to pay for accommodation (but we will be asking for people to support us with free lodgings along the way). We also need to pay for data storage costs, some equipment hire, phone calls, insurance, posters, art work and the host of other things needed to make a successful movie. The movie will actually cost more to produce, but we are donating our time with the aim of reclaiming for these costs with DVD sales when the movie is released in Winter 2012.
What ever the amount of funds we raise here, we will produce an online video and/or feature film. If we can't afford to make it in the USA, we will produce in our native UK. However the USA offers more scope for exploring alternative ways of living and a wider audience.

Why should you support this movie?
To get your name out there as a generous supporter of an independent and inspiring movie.
To gain the perks we are offering you - a free Survival course. featuring yourself or your company within the movie, or just to obtain a brilliant woodland skills DVD.
So please get involved and please support us in what ever way you can- financially or just spreading news of our project.
