Travis David Suhr was born in a small town in northeast Wyoming called Gillette. He spent his entire life loving movies and telling stories. It wasn’t until his second year of college at the University of Wyoming that he realized to combine the two and make filmmaking his passion. He shortly after moved to Phoenix, Arizona and spent the next five years writing screenplays before attending the Zaki Gordon Institute for Independent Filmmaking in Sedona, AZ to learn the aspects of filmmaking beyond writing. He graduated in May 2008 and wrote/directed/produced his first film “Lullabye” as his thesis film project. The film was nominated in all 10 categories at it’s premiere festival, and walked away with 5 including “Best Cinematography”, “Best Sound Design/Music”, “Best Director”, “Best Picture”, and the “Audience Choice Award”. He also received another “Best Director” nomination at the 2008 California Next Gen Film Festival in Sacramento, CA. Travis is now a dedicated writer and producer, who occasionally directs when the right project comes along.
