Our Story

Sweet Livity is a multicultural global company dedicated to sustaining the health and wellness of individuals, organizations and communities everywhere.  Our vision is of a connected world where everyone lives in harmony with self, community and nature.  The concept of Sweet Livity is about intentional and loving integration of health and wellness practices into work and daily living so that one's air, water, land, creativity and relationships become the medicine that supports a healthy mind, body, spirit and community.

What is the Sweet Livity Global Launch Campaign?

After some successful pilots in the United States this fall, this campaign introduces Sweet Livity Wellness Retreats in four global markets: North America, Central America, Europe and Africa.  Our goal is to creatively use of multicultural and multilingual communication and relationship building tools to deliver the retreats in ways that allow individuals from different cultures and speaking different languages to participate together as one community.

What are Sweet Livity Wellness Retreats?

Sweet LivityWellness Retreats offer individuals and groups a chance to explore and practice diverse healing traditions and techniques designed to support optimal health and well-being.   Wellness Retreats offer services focused on the following dimensions of health: Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, Economic, Community and Nature.  (For more details on the components of a Wellness Retreat, please check out the documents uploaded in the "Updates" section of this campaign site.)

Who will manage the campaign?

The collaboration team which manages the online campaign includes: Sweet Livity, Zippi Performance Marketing and Living Narratives.  In addition, marketing specialists Erin Kodama and Veronica Van Gogh are helping with web development and graphic design as part of reaching out to a multicultural, multilingual audience.  Collectively, our collaboration in support of the campaign connects over 30 years of experience in developing and implementing creative communications and relationship building campaigns to engage diverse audiences.  For more information on our team, visit the Team Tab.

Campaign Impact: Our vision is to develop a global network of people and communities exploring and integrating diverse health and wellness practices into our personal and work lives.  This campaign enables Sweet Livity to take the Wellness Retreats on the road and more effectively serve individuals, organizations and communities through the creative use of multicultural and multilingual communications and relationship building tools.

Why is Sweet Livity Important in Today's World?

The Sweet Livity Concept grew out of the founder's appreciation for the Rastafarian concept of "Livity" and her innate appreciation and joy for the sweetness of life.  In this context, Livity means aliveness, vitality and inspiration.    It is about living in harmony with self, community and nature in ways that supports one's own personal healing and contributes to the healing of the spaces in which one lives, works and plays.  Sweet Livity represents an alternative to traditional approaches to community development with its focus on healing and sustainability from the "inside out"using multicultural approaches to wellness that work in today's world.

Today's social networking tools limit the ability of people and organizations to communicate and build relationships across different cultures and languages.  With effective multicultural and multilingual communication and relationship building tools, Sweet Livity will be well-equipped to deliver its Wellness Retreats for diverse audiences in different cultural contexts.

Our Results: Sweet Livity will develop the infrastructure to offer Wellness Retreat services in culturally appropriate ways that allow individuals from different cultures and speaking different languages to participate together as one community.  Through participating in the Wellness Retreats, participants will learn to promote and sustain living and working environments which are creative, engaging, life affirming and fun.

What We Need & What You Get

How Sweet Livity will allocate the money raised

We will produce a multicultural and multilingual communications and relationship building campaign to introduce the Sweet LivityWellness Retreats in four global markets: North America, Central America, Europe and Africa.  The campaign will be implemented in two stages: Round 1 and Round 2.

During Round 1 (December 2011 through March 31, 2012) Sweet Livityand its collaborators will develop the infrastructure necessary to systematically and effectively use multicultural and multilingual tools to deliver the Wellness Retreats Services and pilot four (4) retreats in two global markets: North America and Central America.

During Round 2 (April 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012), Sweet Livity and its collaborators will take the Wellness Retreats Services on the road in all four (4) global markets using the system developed and piloted during Round 1.  Current plans are to add Europe and Africa as global markets.  However, data from Round 1 may result in a change of plan.  Sweet Livity is currently exploring the feasibility of introducing the Wellness Retreats in Asia and South America.

Important Note: This campaign is focused on raising funds to support Round 1 only.

FOR A MORE COMPLETE BUDGET SHOWING EXPENSES AND REVENUE, PLEASE SEE THE DOCUMENT LOADED IN THE "UPDATES" SECTION OF THIS CAMPAIGN SITE.

How will Sweet Livity raise the balance needed?

If 100% of the $62,631 is not raised through Round 1 of the campaign, Sweet Livity will use the funds raised to develop the infrastructure and implement as many pilots as are funded. Alternative options to reduce costs if all of the funds are not raised include: (1) reducing the number of pilots; (2) reducing the number of healers collaborating to implement each pilot; and (3) merging two or more pilots if feasible. Costs for Round 2 will be determined after analysis of results of Round 1.

Sweet Livity Unique Perks

The campaign will provide Donor name recognition perks within one week of receipt of donation.  Private healing session perks will be delivered through mutual agreement between Sweet Livity and the donor(s) and no later than March 31, 2012.  The campaign will deliver the remaining perk gifts after the conclusion of Round 1 phase on March 31, 2012 and no later than April 30, 2012.  These perks are drawn from the various products that will result from the successful implementation of the pilot wellness retreats during Round 1.
