THE PROJECT
SUPER MASSIVE RAVER is a satirical web series currently appearing weekly on YouTube lampooning celebs, X-factor, current affairs, anything really. The Super Massive Raver is a throwback to the early nineties, a shape-throwing dancing nutter with one sole mission; to spread his message of peace, love and unity.
We are jetting off to Hong Kong in January to shoot a ten part special narrative series of the SMR which will be released as a mobile app at the end of summer 2011. The story involves our disenchanted hero travelling to the orient to rediscover his roots but soon finds his rave moves being adopted as a brand new martial art, the only one that can save his village.
The Hong Kong episodes will be a fast-paced mix of action comedy, martial arts, parodies, special fx and all the madness, dancing and music that have become the signature of Super Massive Raver - all bundled up in a special mobile app.
WHAT WE NEED & WHAT YOU GET
We need to raise $5,000 to pay our way to Hong Kong and get our ten narrative episodes in the can. The money will be paying for our flights over there, the cost of the carnet to get our equipment through customs and the props we will need for the episodes.
Rather than putting together a whole tier of perks we're just offering one funding bracket: $10. That's it. We're pre-selling the app and a very limited edition hard copy of the episodes, complete with a special ep that no-one else will get.
WHY HONG KONG?
The man behind the 3D glasses, Simon Wan, is from a village just outside Hong Kong called Ho Chung that will be hosting a unique festival in 2011. The festival only happens every ten years as part of the Che Kung temple celebrations and it's a riot of colour, noise and energy. There will be kung fu, Peking opera, lion dances, carnivals, incredible food and the most spectacular backdrop for our series.

The Super Massive Raver is already alive and kicking on YouTube. You can support us by watching the videos and passing them on. This is a numbers game and the more people we can attract to the videos the better the project will do. You can also share this campaign with others through all your favourite social media tools, Twitter, Facebook, Digg etc.

We have made a pledge to donate 10% of all our YouTube earnings to charity. We call it Comedy with Conscience. With the current recession we thought it was high time someone came up with a way to help charities that didn't have to involve you reaching for your wallet.
