Haze all quadrants.
Hi there. I’m a public radio producer, broadcast artist, and musician living in Los Angeles. I’ve been recording, writing, and lecturing about shortwave radio since the age of fifteen (1991). I’ve been fortunate enough to see my music and/or writing in all sorts of wacky places like National Public Radio, SPIN Magazine, the American Repertory Theatre (Cambridge, MA), ABC Radio Australia, Radio Panik/Brussels, and the MEGAPOLIS Audio Art Festival, among others. I also contributed to The Conet Project, the now-legendary CD box set of recorded spy transmissions most famously used in the movie Vanilla Sky and on Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot album.
I started the blog ShortWaveMusic in 2005 as a public forum for cataloguing my obsession with music and/or musical noise as heard on the shortwave radio bands. In 2009, I decided there was no better way to hear the world than to see it, so I took ShortWaveMusic to Ibiza for the first in an annual series of SWM-themed expeditions. This year I’m taking the project to Bulgaria.
…which brings me to IndieGoGo.
