OCCUPY THE MOVIE will document the movement's first year with gritty detail, while exploring its origins, purpose, and future.  It will be like no other film you've seen, intercutting the dramatic handheld footage of protestors with candid interviews of the movement's leaders, allies and enemies. 

We will ask: What is the history of occupations? Who are the architects of the movement? Who are the allies and enemies? Where has it succeeded and failed?  Can it make change, or will it be evicted?  Most importantly, why do they Occupy?

Themes of activism and social change dominate Corey Ogilvie's work - see IMDb.  His unique directorial style stems from acclaimed work as editor, cinematographer, and director.  Harnessing the synergy of these crafts, Corey's purpose is to make unforgettable films that change the way we see our world.

Since 2008, he has directed 3 full-length documentaries: Nash - the documentary (2012), Streets of Plenty (2010), Think Peace: Portrait of a 21st Century Movement (2008). In these films, we meet world figures including President Barack Obama, Hans Blix, Rex Weyler (co-founder of Greenpeace), Ron Howard, Steve Nash, and many more.

In 2011, Corey received 4 Leo nominations, including Best Documentary, Best Direction, Best Cinematography & Best Editing in a Short Film.

Currently, Corey spends everyday creating films for the Occupy Movement, all leading to his next feature documentary, Occupy The Movie.
