About San Francisco Film Society Fiscal Sponsorship
A unique partnership between SFFS and IndieGoGo provides filmmakers with a single platform solution to integrate fiscal sponsorship with their audience building and crowd funding efforts, thus allowing them to streamline their efforts to raise money and build their audience. Working with a fiscal sponsor allows a filmmaker to solicit funds from a wide range of sources - notably individuals and government, foundation, corporate and other philanthropic entities - that give only to nonprofit organizations with IRS tax-exempt status. This resource, combined with IndieGoGo's powerful audience building and promotional tools for connecting people to campaigns, will provide filmmakers with more opportunities to get their film funded, made and seen.

San Francisco Film Society is Northern California's premiere organization for filmmakers and cineastes.

A full slate of Filmmaker Services programs - including professional development classes, grants, residencies, fiscal sponsorship, publications and networking events - keeps the Film Society in close contact with filmmaking talent and further establishes the organization as an international model for community engagement.

Through its annual San Francisco International Film Festival and an assortment of equally anticipated events such as the yearly San Francisco International Animation Festival, New Italian Cinema and French Cinema Now, the Film Society shares the best in global moving-image arts with tens of thousands of viewers who are eager to explore images and ideas beyond the mainstream multiplex.
