BRAVE NEW WORLD
what is this all about?
I will be setting on a 3-month learning journey to the West Coast of United States where I believe there is a high concentration of sustainability initiatives imbued with spiritual practices, highly progressive communities and spiritual (r)evolutionaries. As I dive into this learning journey, my purpose is to heal and unleash my creative potential in service of my authentic life calling to serve the Great Transition as well as to seek, find and learn from individuals, spiritual teachers, projects and initiatives that are creating the ecological, economical, social and spiritual solutions and healing practices we need in the world today. As I journey, I will capture my learnings, insights, inspirations on my website both in English and Turkish, with prose, poetry, photographs and videos. I will document the teachings, innovation, newness, courage, inspiration
All Ill have with myself is a backpack, a computer and a camera.
And of course my questions, my curiosity, my passion for transition stories, evolution and possibility. I will ask these three questions to everyone I will on my journey:
-
what do you see happening in the world right now?
-
how do we become more resilient as individuals and communities as we enter a new era?
-
what role do you play and who do you see yourself becoming in the Great Transition and the creation of an ecologically sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just human presence on Earth?
The
uniqueness of this story is that it shows how our personal journeys
and evolution towards wholeness and authentic life is woven together
with the unfolding story of humanity at this time. The story of one
woman's seeking and meaning making for her own life becomes the
inspiring story of thousands who are healing & co-creating
themselves and the world at the same time.
Because to create a new world, we need a new storyline, we need to believe that it is possible and that it is already happening. By connecting individual and community stories of transformation, healing and resilience, we will strengthen the possibility of co-creating the world we dream of NOW.
What is going on in the World right now has never occurred in human history before. As we complete an era of industrialized, dualistic, ego-based human systems, there seems to be a lot of chaos, destruction and crises out there from earthquakes to economic collapse, from climate change to social unrest we seem to be in the middle of a big transition both as humanity and the planet.
But is this all there is to this Story?
The crisis is an opportunity, a wake-up call, an invitation for us to evolve to higher ground. At some point in the evolution process of humanity, we separates ourselves from the rest of Nature, from the natural cycles of Life which created the consequences that we are facing in the form of ecological, economical, social and spiritual crisis right now. This is driving humanity towards creating an ecologically sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just human presence on the planet.
How do we shift from a culture & mindset rooted in consumption, greed and control to a culture based on the principles of well-being and sustainability for all of Life?
How do we live authentic lives, doing what we love and putting our gifts into service of life?
This is the greatest story of transition, humanity coming of age in human history. It is the end of the World as we know it and it is the birth of a new reality woven stitch by stitch with the creativity, generosity, compassion and the genius of committed individuals and communities working in solidarity, willing to think and act in a whole new way.
The Shift is already happening and the World needs to know that.
From our individual journeys to our communities' transformation to the planetary shift to the great cycles of Cosmos, we are part of the one Great Story. In the web of Life, everything is connected and related. There is an invitation to tell this amazing story.
The story of the Great Transition and the Birth of a new Humanity.
A leap into the Brave New World.

how will the money be used and why crowdfunding?
The money for the project will be used mostly for traveling (on land where possible), food, some extra photo equipment (I already have the basics but I need some accessories for the mobility), participation fees of the conferences and workshops I want to attend and document...
I believe crowdfunding is the most exciting and sweet way of participatory community financing...
what better way of co-funding something that intends to serve the whole, the community, Life itself!
