Fri Feb 10 '12 Announcement from Timson To Taps 150

$8 away from $1,000 this week! $408 away from the final goal....Wow I am moved with emotion with the support, comments and love behind this campaign.

This week was amazing for me in another way. Last Tuesday I lent the very same bugle that I received years ago as a kid from American Legion Post 89 to a brave Soldier. I have been given the honor to teach a father of two, with a wife; who is coping with the post war stress after returning from Iraq / Afganistan.

He never played a note in his life, but has reached out to me as his coach/teacher to take on the challenge to learn how to play the bugle. He wants to master the playing of "Taps" by Veterans Day Nov 11 or maybe earilier by May 19th [Taps 150].

Tuesday this week we met for lunch and I gave him the bugle. I gave him some initial instruction and written material. By Tuesday night he honked out his first note!

So, take time today to send a positive prayer to support my new student Joe and his family as he learns how to play the bugle for the very first time and cope with civilian life!

I guess, Joe is now under the wing of a dove helping him ...one note at a time....Power of music is amazing! Power of prayer, friendship and music is amazing!

Michael W. Timson....keep on honk'n

Fri Feb 10 '12 Announcement from HOPPED-UP: photography book about the European Hotrod culture

Dear you all who already support this campaign,

Thanks a lot so far!
But to be honest: I NEED YOU TO GIVE ME EVEN MORE SUPPORT!

As you might have noticed there is a stagnation right now in this project which is the worth that can happen I guess.
I'm doin this for the first time and I'm trying my best to bring it on, keep it going and write peopleabout it hoping the will join the team.
But I figured out I just can't do it all on my own.
I NEED YOU to tell your friends and collegues about this book and about this campaign to make it availabe again.
Tell them that you like the book and what it is that make's it special to you.
Please. The more people know about this campaign the more there is a chance that it's gonna work.

This will be the last try to get the book out again. At least for a longer while.
I put so much passion, time and money in this. I didn't do it to get rich from it and it didn't happen. It's the opposite and that's ok. Cause I've got a big fat book out. And the only thing that I get and that i honestly care about is the feedback. The fact that people like what I build and take it to their friends.
The feedback I get through mail and in personal conversations how much people like my book and that it opened a whole new world to them. Or those who are into all this who love Hopped-Up because for them it transports the feeling they like in the scene.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE 2nd RUN OF HOPPED-UP !

Fri Feb 10 '12 Announcement from allride

Week of February 10,

Four weeks to go and we're building up steam! We've just finished making a few more changes to our user-interface and we've selected an over all theme for the site. We're making some final adjustments and trying to implement the last few controls and functionality needed to complete the system. We're trying to streamline the entire system in order to make the end-user experience as easy and simple as possible. Our goal is to make ride-sharing and carpooling easy and fun again

And as all ways, please check us out on Facebook!

Fri Feb 10 '12 Announcement from Ghosts of Europe

This is it! Thanks so much to everyone who helped us out. We are ecstatic that we raised over $1,800! This will go a tremendous distance in securing all our gear, cameras, insurance, radios, and really helping keep the production value the highest it could possibly be!

We've graciously been offered $18,000 worth of rentals for $2,500 from William F. White International, and have had numerous suppliers, individuals and rental houses provide discounted rates so that every dollar we raise goes that much further!

Too numerous to name in this short update, we'll have a complete list of everybody who's allowed us to share their name, and all the people and places that have been so instrumental in getting this project off the ground.

Now, we're into production... so we'll catch you on the other side!

Fri Feb 10 '12 Announcement from WE SWARM!

Thank you so much for the amazing support that you showed for our project already! Every contribution encourages us on our way!

The next step in our project will be a full week of intense meetings and afterwards we will be able to announce the complete programme of our academy about sharing, commons and community!

To make the waiting time shorter, Marleen and I noted down some of our thoughts about about knowledge sharing for you:

"Those who hold secrets hold power. At the same time it is the secrets that hold the potential innovation in the world at a very low level. You just need to think of what would happen if all the knowledge that humans have ever produced was available to everyone and used to create solutions for communities all over the world – we can only imagine the enormous innovation leaps this would cause."
