As a young filmmaker I feel that it is important to create art that has an effect on the world around us and can hopefully challenge people’s expectations, and how they think. Giving a voice to those who can not speak as loudly on their own is the most fulfilling benefit of filmmaking. Working in the documentary field, as well as narrative and experimental, I have tried to create art that not only expresses my point of view, but gives a voice to the LGBTQ community as well. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a BFA in Film Production, in December 2008, I plan on moving to New York City to continue my career in filmmaking.
