Brian Faye is a writer/director from Tucson, Arizona finishing up his master’s degree in Film Directing at the renowned Chapman University Film Conservatory in Orange, California.
Interested in films that explore honest reality and humanity, Brian plans to develop and direct independent features as a career.
Brian is currently working on his 35mm graduate thesis film, Jeremy, set to shoot in February, 2010.
About filmmaking, Brian says that “at a much larger level, film is a way for me to influence people and make people feel and think, but at the most basic level, it has always been a way for me to sort of exorcise all the creative blips floating around in my head. Once I get an idea in my head, I think about it almost obsessively until I can put it on film. Once it’s on the screen, I’m able to let it go and move on to the next one. But filmmaking has always also been a way for me to show others the crazy world inside my head. I’m always thinking, ‘goodness, I wish somebody could see this.’ Sometimes it’s something comedic, other times it’s tragic…but there is always some visual or aural manifestation running around in my little brain.”
Brian did his undergraduate degree in History at Brigham Young University and currently lives in Orange, California with his wife.
