Zvuku is the czech nom-de-plume of Irish ambient musician Karl McGrath. Karl has released CDrs on Rural Colours, Heat Death, and Futuresequence over the past 3 years and now has a full length LP ready to show the world. Zvuku's sound is "beautifully constructed, and keenly observed emotional electro-acoustic pieces of treated guitar, violin and piano".
This page is here to try and do the amazing new material justice by funding a 180gram vinyl pressing for you all to enjoy.
What You Get For Helping Us Out
The cost of pressing a record is not extortionate, and if Heat Death were an active label then crowdfunding might be skipped and pre-orders opened. However, the label is winding down so - almost a year after the last release - the money is not to hand.
We only need around 75 people to be willing to buy their copy of the album before it is pressed for the project to go ahead, and those people will obviously go down in history as true heroes. But as if that wasn't enough we are offering early digital access, complete with alternate mixes and remixes by a barrage of friends. There will also be an opportunity to own these as a limited CDr exclusive to funders who donate over and above the amount needed for the vinyl - just look through the perks to see which best suits your situation (please be cafeful with your shipping region, I don't want to have to email asking for more money at a later date!)
Other Ways You Can Help
Use the share options on this site to get the word out, send positive vibes into the universe for us, or alternatively send Zvuku, Futuresequence, or Heat Death a cheque for £1000.
Even if you remain unconvinced keep checking back here as extra tracks will become available over the month to tempt the latecomers!
Heat Death Records is a 1-man bedroom label setup and maintained by a music fan who just wanted albums to be discs on shelves instead of files and folders on external drives. Over the course of 4 years there have been about 30 releases, largely thanks to the help and support of the larger community and the dedication of fans who also want to see physical releases.
