Who are we?
E=MC Productions are a UK based production company lead by writer/ director Elom Bell, thats me! I am a filmmaker, writer and broadcast professional. Eclectically, I am currently working on funding a zombie feature film called Zombie Carnage, which we are really excited about and wish to speak to you about now, and also a series of children's novels that deals with issues such as the origins of man and our impact on the environment.
I have written 7 spec scripts with my writing partner, Carole Bell, a retired university psychology lecturer who also happens to be my mother.
Together with some very cool people, we formed the company to help achieve my aim of creating a film factory, producing low budget Horror and Science Fiction films with a uniquely British feel.
I am ably assisted by wonderfully efficient long-term partner and resident producer Asta Musvicaite.
Zombie Carnage: The Ultimate Reality Gameshow
Over the last 12 months we have been developing our debut feature Zombie Carnage: The Ultimate Reality Game Show.
Zombie Carnage tells the tale of an unscrupulous TV Producer who decides to stage a reality television show, where he pits 30 martial arts trained zombie hunters against a human contestant. If you can imagine the Running Man with Zombies all trained by Jean Claude Van Damme, then you are almost there!
In order to build a great team ethic, with lots of cast and crew who havent worked together before and to also show people what we can do with a very limited budget, we cobbled together 2,000 and went out and shot a trailer over 4 days. Because the trailer was shot over 4 days, spaced over a calendar month, we had to pull together a different crew every time! Due to this, we ended up using over 60 people including cast, crew and post-production personnel.
Through the strength of the script and the passion of the team, we have managed to put together a dream team both in front of and behind the camera. We have an Oscar winning makeup team, a post production crew with major Hollywood credits, some of the UKs best cage fighters and martial artists and some amazing actors with massive cult followings. What We Need & What You Get
We are hoping to raise $50,000 through Indiegogo which will supplement our $500,000 budget, that we are raising through various other sources, including private investors, UK tax break initiatives and, hopefully, pre-sales based on a rough cut of the film.
The $50,000 will assist immensely, allowing us to take this project to the next level. $10,000 will be used for development costs including additional casting, location scouting, storyboarding, setting up our production office, testing and pre-visualising VFX shots, make-up tests and setting up a post-production workflow. The remaining $40,000 will go into our main production budget and will help us make this film.
We are also introducing a very unique perk to Indiegogo and crowd funding as a whole. If someone wants to donate $100,000, not only will they get all of the perks listed to the right and any other crazy stuff we can come up with (dinner with our lead female in full zombie makeup anyone?), but they can also buy themselves a main, speaking part in the film! I dont think anyone else has ever offered this! Can you imagine yourself as a kung-fu specialist, kicking zombies all over my movie?! We will also give you two weeks martial arts and acting training to ensure you are in peak physical and emotional condition and ready for the role of your life! (**Please note that we cant cover travel and accommodation costs**)
Other Ways You Can Help
We sincerely hope that you like our project and psychic support as well as financial support is in plentiful need. Please spread the word to your nearerst and dearest and even people that hack you off.
