My name is Bill Cody. I am a a writer and a filmmaker from Los Angeles. I've made the music docs <A HREF="http://omnivorerecordings.com/artists/athens-ga..., GA/Inside-Out</A> and two-headed cow featuring musicians like R.E.M., The B-52's, Dexter Romweber, Jack White, Neko Case and Chan Marshall. This year I went to the middle east region with The Black Lips of Atlanta, GA and Lazzy Lung from Beirut, Lebanon.

So what DO we need the money for? That is a question some have asked. Well, we need to pay an assistant to help our wonderful editor to finish the film. He's a great editor (just worked with James Cameron - you know, the Avatar dude) but I can not afford him. Which means he works for us part time and needs an assistant to do all the finishing. Assistants need to pay bill, eat etc. THose guys usually get 200 a day. I am getting a decont one at 500 a week. We'll need 8-10 more weeks. That's 5,000.

Then we need a sound mixer. Those guys don't work for free. They just don't. Then we need an on-line editor. Again. no freebies there. Give us a disctount because they love the project. Yeah. Frrebie, no. Both of these people will be in the 2,500 to 3,000 range from the prices we have right now.

So, that's 11,000 right there. Add in titles that will run about 1500 to 2,000 at a discount and getting T-shorts done for you guys and you can see that 15,000 is cutting it very close.

BUT - it is very inexpensive for a doc like this. Most of those Sundance docs that run on IFC are in the 750,000 to 1 mil ranges. And you can't even dance to them.

So, I hope this explains some things. We really want to give everyone an amazing fim. So far we're doing that. I think eveyone will be blown away when they see the finished product!
