What makes this outlet different from what's out in the market now?
Simply put, it's Blue Ocean Technology because there is nothing that compares...no phantom power is being generated when the doors of the USB Chargers are closed. The SMART Technology samples the rechargeable device and only gives the appropriate amount of power, preventing overheating of the battery. When the Plugin Outlet senses the battery is fully charged, it turns off the USB Charger automatically, while using a sliver of power to monitor the device (.04 amp). There is no need to babysit your device(s). The cost savings from phantom electricity and replacement batteries will pay for the Plugin Outlet with regular use. The two LED lights display the USB Chargers are powering the device(s).
Unique faceplate design to charge 4 electrical devices, even two standard chargers in the AC plugs and two USB cables in our SMART Technology USB Chargers.
The USB Sock-IT Plugin Outlet 1/4" lip completely covers the existing faceplate.
Removable cover for a clean look and semi-permanent installation with 3 connection points.
Tamper Resistant AC plug receptacles.
Charges 2 iPads® simultaneously.
Switch on the back side that designates one of the AC plugs for Light Switch power control. Think apartments that have little or no overhead lighting and use light switches to control lamps.
What colors will be available?
White, Black, Brown and Almond.
How can we customize the cover design of our outlet?
We have two concepts of custom designs for the outlet. One is to use a vinyl graphic molded sticker that will come in two pieces, one for the cover and one for the circular faceplate in the middle.
The other concept is to offer plastic covers with the designs already imprinted into the plastic and a circular molded vinyl sticker for the faceplate. We are open to suggestions from our backers and will render a decision once mass production has begun. The custom covers will be sold as a separate item.
What will the USB Sock-IT Plugin Outlet retail for?
Where do you manufacture the Outlet?
We have contracted manufacturing with a privately owned factory in Zhongzhan, a city in southern China near Hong Kong. Our plan with 8G Electronics in the long term is to bring our company's manufacturing back to the U.S., which includes Engineering/Circuit Board Production/Injection Molding/Test and Evaluation/Assembly and Packaging.
