I’m Beth Chamberlin, some of you may know me from my years of playing Beth Raines on “Guiding Light” and others know me from my popular exercise video series, The Kettlebell Way”, which helped thousands of women and men get fit and take control of their lives.
Here’s my story:
Five years ago my body was falling apart. I had belly fat I couldn’t get rid of, my upper arms were getting middle-aged jiggle, my back fat was changing how I could dress, my posture had gone from erect to slumped and my knees were in constant pain from the running I was doing to maintain my weight. I was unhappy with myself but nothing I tried seemed to make a difference. I thought it was just a function of age and there was nothing I could do. Then my husband introduced me to kettlebell training. It changed my body immediately and changed my life forever.
Since then I have become passionate about introducing women to this powerful form of exercise. Why? Because it really works, it works fast and it doesn’t require a huge time commitment.
I can tell you that if my husband hadn’t introduced me to this, I wouldn’t have the quality of life I have today, I wouldn’t feel as empowered as I do and I wouldn’t have the same relationship with my son. I wouldn’t have these things because just like you I don’t have a lot of time to devote to working out and I can’t stay with anything that takes months and months to see improvement. Thankfully I did give kettlebell training a try (only after being very skeptical, however!) and I feel better about my body, my face and who I am inside than I ever have. I know that with the programs I’ve created, every woman who tries it and commits to it can feel the same way I do. That is what I want, for as many women as possible to feel empowered, to turn back time (it truly has worked like a fountain of youth for me) and to create a new and improved quality of life, now and for the future, through strength and fitness.

A few months ago I purchased The Kettlebell Way Volumes One and Two (Empire State). I live in the Midwest and I knew I could not run on my treadmill for yet another full winter without having another workout to switch it up with. I have tried many different workout videos in the past and never really saw results or enjoyed working out with them. A friend told me about this program and I took a chance on it. I LOVE these videos – I cannot believe how much fun they are and even though I run, bike and lift weights I am FINALLY seeing results in my problem area lower abs and the stubborn little bit of flabby arm that I still have. I was wondering if you have any idea for these videos about how many calories are generally burned per work out. I do my best to incorporate diet with my exercise program so knowing about how many calories I may be burning always helps. If you do not know that is fine – I just thought I would ask.

I'm a 25 year-old law student from Baton Rouge, LA. First of all, I (like everyone else you talk to, I'm sure) must say that kettlebelling has completely changed my life...THANK YOU! Also, between school, studying, and working for a judge I don't have a lot of time on my hands so this workout is fantastic. All throughout college I was a runner and in great shape...BUT, I hated to think that I was FORCED to run everyday to stay in shape...agonizing! I do it faithfully 3 x a week both aerobic and anaerobic results, your DVD and when I take my breaks from transcribing (medical/legal transcriptionist) I do cleans and presses, swings and abs and abs now are toning great. “I bought DVD 1 the other week and well, I am in amazement. I am 32 and have always been in shape- I teach Pilates, and trail run about 20 miles per week but have been bored with my routine. This is by far one of the best workouts I have ever had --- even including the ones I teach :) --- and it makes muscles ache that I never felt before and that is wonderful. Apart from that, it’s engaging, does not bore, and will allow for the viewer to increase difficulty with ease, rather than plateauing. I started with the 10lb kettlebell because the 12lb was locally sold-out, but after needing a wheelchair after week 1, I am glad the heavier one was out of stock... I need a few more weeks to prep for that. Otherwise, I was shocked at how aerobic the workout is, which was a pleasant surprise.

I love the first Kettlbell Way workout! I must say that I love Kettlebell training! It works my core. After having a c-section 3 1/2yrs. ago my core is finally pulling in! It goes hand in hand with yoga because it doesn't shorten the muscles and enhances mobility and flexibility.
