Who are we?

Tracy Wannemacher is a Masters level licensed speech language pathologist.  For the past 13 years she has been providing ongoing speech and language services for children ages 12 months to 7 years.  Tracy’s primary background is working with children on the Autism Spectrum, childhood apraxia of speech, and speech and language delays.  She has participated in numerous trainings regarding ABA therapy, PECS, social thinking, sensory, and motor planning. During that time frame she was also employed as the director of a non for profit agency’s children’s program for 5 years. In January 2009, Tracy became an independent provider of speech and language therapy and formed her own corporation.

Tracy has recently teamed up with Antonio Sanders, a seasoned AAA game developer with 13 years of experience. Antonio has experience working on some big games (NBA Street, Fight Night, Tony Hawk Ride) for some of the biggest video game publishers (EA Sports, Activision). Prior to Video Games Antonio was employed as a Package Designer and Illustrator. Antonio is currently a fulltime instructor teaching 3D modeling and video game development at a private college.

Why are we doing this?

Our main goal is to help children. We want to create unique, simple, fun apps that will enhance early learning skills on multiple levels.  The apps will provide an interactive tool for therapists, early education conscious parents, and teachers. What will set these apps apart from current apps is the background and experience on both sides of development.  Kids, parents, and therapists will enjoy the visual style and engaging experience provided in the development of the apps. The flow and the simplicity of the menus will allow any implementer to be able to use the apps with their children.   The vocabulary for each puzzle within the app has been carefully considered for its value in early vocabulary learning. The apps will be addressing each sound produced in the English language as well as providing a variety of sound sequences to address children’s articulation skills.  These apps will also provide auditory bombardment and opportunities to match pictures on 3 different levels.  We are waiting to disclose some of the other unique features until the app is released.  Our goal is to launch the first puzzle app early in 2013 on the iPad, iPhone, Android marketplace as well as a web based version for those families without mobile devices.

What will the campaign funds be used for?

Funding is needed to complete the first app which will feature 26 puzzles (A-Z) that include unique illustrations.  Funding is needed to compensate a programmer to complete the first application and reimbursement for some of our initial investments. Funds will also be used to pay for copyright, trademark, software, to create a website and hardware to test the functionality of the App. There are also fees for the Apple and Android marketplaces. If we exceed our campaign goal, we will begin to develop our ideas for future applications, E-books, and to create traditional flashcards as another interactive opportunity.

How else can you contribute?

If you are not able to make a donation, we would be greatly appreciative if you could share our campaign and/or business name with family and friends. Another option to support us, is to "like" us on our new facebook page.  We recently formed this corporation and could use all of the help that we can get.

If we do not meet our campaign goal delivery may be delayed, but we pinky sware to keep working towards bringing these Apps to the children they are meant to help.
