Whiz!Bam!Pow!

A love letter to comic books, the heroes in them, and the people they inspire.

"Check out this awesome new project... Part nostalgia. Part innovation. All pointed towards the future of entertainment. Show your support today! - JOHN T. TRIGONIS, writer/director CERISE.

Whiz!Bam!...Huh?

Remember that scene in Richard Donners Superman, when Lois dangles from a helicopter and Superman makes his first appearance, flying in and swooping her up? That look of wonder in the eyes of the citizens of Metropolis, and that feeling of Whoa, cool! that came over the eight year old (or eighty-eight year old) version of you as John Williams score kicked in?

Were going to create that feeling for you and the characters in Volume One of our transmedia world, Whiz!Bam!Pow!. Taking place between 1938 & 1943, Volume One begins with the first appearance of "The Sentinel" in August, 1938's Whiz!Bam!Pow! Comics #7, through his transformation from comic book hit into the star of the most popular radio show in history, The Adventures of the Sentinel.

Volume One then moves into the "real world" with a short filmtaking place during the airing of an episode of The Adventures of the Sentinel in 1943. Telling the story of a father's struggle against the Cleveland winter and himself to get a copy of Whiz!Bam!Pow! Comics #7 home to his son, the short film closes out Volume One, moves the Whiz!Bam!Pow! story into the "real world" and sets the events of Volume Two into motion.

What We Need & What You Get

The $15,000 were seeking to raise will make this first volume a reality, enabling us to collaborate with amazing and talented creatives and crew on each piece of the Volume One, cover the production costs for the comic book,  the radio shows, (especially) the short film, and to hire a web/app developer to help us build the means to get this project out to you in digital form.

Self-distribution is plan A with every piece of Whiz!Bam!Pow!. Half of the money raised will ensure this project makes it into your hands as we build a platform for the digital delivery of all aspects of this project, making it available to you with the click of a button - whether on your phone, at your desk, or on your couch.

And we've got some pretty nifty perks for you heroes out there as well...

Other Ways You Can Help

We need you. So please, share, share, share. IndieGoGo has some pretty nifty (wow, I really love that word) tools to get the word out. Every eye counts; every ear, another opportunity to tell a story that we believe in, and that we cant wait to tell more of.

So please, turn on your Bat-signals (used without permission), and let people know that you want to see this made. Its a dream for us, and we need you to help us make it a reality.

We know that with your generous support we will make this grand adventure happen, and were thrilled to have you flying alongside us!

#ReadImagineSoar! with Whiz!Bam!Pow! and the Comic Book Connection Initiative!

For every $1,000 raised on this campaign, Tyler is going to donate 100 comic books from his personal collection to the Ohio-based Comic Book Connection Initiative, which donates comics to kids at local homeless shelters, food pantries, hospitals, and after-school programs for economically depressed areas."

When we hit the $15,000 goal, Tyler (and friends) are going to donate their entire comic book collections to the CBCI.

We are absolutely thrilled to have Whiz!Bam!Pow! be part of something so good for the state of Ohio, and hope that somewhere down the line, Tyler's comics can fill a kid's mind with imagination and wonder, in the same way they did when he grew up in Ohio.

The ORIGIN*

After being raised by wolves in the wilds of Ohio and Michigan, then spending their formative years in music school and law school (not much of a difference from their nascent years really), Tyler Weaver & Paul Klein became writing and producing partners when they found themselves neighbors in Cleveland Heights, battling flies and engaging in wanton househusbandry.

Whiz!Bam!Pow! came out of their mutual desire to, even entering their 30s, tie a towel around their necks, climb up on the roof, and fly.

Or at least tell a good story.

*ORIGIN may have been tweaked for dramatic purposes.
