Just what is the Watchers of Anarchy podcast anyhow?

Hi, I'm Brad and thanks for stopping by. The Watchers of Anarchy podcast has been covering the Sons of Anarchy television show since the second season of SoA hit the air. We started the podcast because there wasn’t one and we really liked the show so felt like talking about it. Since that first season our audience has grown as we worked to provide a entertaining show that our listeners and the hosts enjoy. The Watchers of Anarchy podcast is not affiliated with FX Networks or Sons of Anarchy, we are just fans who like the show.

What has happened since we started the podcast. We gained a opening band in beginning of 2010 named Preacher Stone and use their song “Old Fashion Ass Whoopin” in our podcast. Their song, "Not Today" was later featured in Season 3 Ep 3 of SoA. Our other band, Crud, came to use at the end of last season with their song “Devil at the Wheel” which featured on Season 3 episode 10.

During 2011 season of Watchers of Anarchy the podcast averaged between 3500-4000 downloads per episode. We record a live show on Saturday nights and host a live chat room during the recordings. The show has blossomed as we gained worldwide listeners as well as friends. We have fun, listeners have fun and we talk about the latest episode of Sons of Anarchy.

So what are you doing with this money?

The minimum amount that can be funded on Indiegogo is $500 so that is where I have set our goal. Any amount submitted to this campaign will be used to fund the podcast. A small amount will be used to purchase the cool swag we will be giving out for the donations received.

We are trying to fund this season of the media hosting (the podcast files) for the podcast. These files are hosted through Libsyn and we use the App 800 plan,http://libsyn.com/3/plans-and-pricing/This is a place that holds the files until you go to download them from iTunes or the website.

$160 will fund this season of the podcast. Season 5 SoA

$360 will fund 2 seasons of the podcast. Season 6 SoA

$480 will fund 3 seasons of the podcast. Season 7 SoA

Season 7 of SoA will be the last season according to Kurt Sutter. We have been doing this for 4 years now and plan to finish out this show. It would be awesome if we had the show funded until the finale but we'll also be fine with just getting 1 season funded.

Any additional funds we recieve past the $500 mark will go into hardware and software expenses. Cort could use a new headphone/mic combo, I could use a better camera for the live show...really there is a long list of misc things we go through. If fly past the $500 mark I'll come up with some extra stuff for everyone who has contributed. What that is I'm not sure yet. 

Hold on, what is The Devil's Sinners?

This is a audio drama that Brad and some other folks have been collaborating on. The story revolves around a motorcycle club based in the Midwest which goes by the name Devil's Sinners. This club has nothing to do with Sons of Anarchy other than it is a fictional motorcycle club with fictional characters in it as well. There is also the difference that this is an audio..yep you listen to it not watch. Looking to make this audio available weekly starting in December and looking to have about 20 episodes that will be released weekly and be around 30 minutes each.

What would any extra money go to?

Any other funds will go towards a better video camera, a soundboard program to make Brad's life easier, website hosting($100 a year in addition to Media Hosting) or any other audio equipment we might need or need to replace.

There are fees involved with using this site, our take away for $500 donated is $465 before the swag. The more we get the happier we will be.

When will things ship?

As of right now it will be in October but could be sooner depending on when some of the items arrive at the clubhouse. If we have the items here we will send them off to you. The shirts will ship separately

Here is an offical Sons of Anarchy Reaper patch. Brand new and still in it's packaging. We only have a few of these so once they are gone they are gone.
