Vizibelt

Introducing the Vizibelt - a light with huge surface area that wraps around your body or backpack to make sure you get seen. Whether a cyclist, runner or anything else, you will become far more visible to those around you at night. It not only makes you more visible, it looks great too so you'll be turning heads for all the right reasons!

Vizibelt uses just two LEDs (one at each end) and a thin tube of flexible plastic to create a long, very bright and light weight light. The final touch is a bright PVC covering in Green, Orange or Blue that adds even better colour and visibility. Using just two LED lights combined with the innovative plastic light-carrying tube means battery life is still competitive with smaller, less eye-catching alternatives like under-seat rear LED bike lights. Vizibelt has three light modes; fast flash, normal flash and constant light.

Two Sizes Available

45cm (17.7in) OR 60cm (23.6in) light. Both models have an adjustable black band to accomodate as many shapes and sizes as possible!

Exact sizing and adjustment length will be confirmed. 

We recommend the 45cm model for people planning on using their Vizibelt around a backpack (like the Blue Vizibelt in our video) or for young children. The 60cm model is great for use on your hips, waist or over your shoulder.

Both models are under 120g (0.26 lbs) each including batteries, so you hardly feel the Vizibelt while in use. Batteries used are 2 x CR2032 button batteries - inexpensive and easy to replace.

Who is behind Vizibelt?

My name is Will Williams, I'm a 22 year-old Australian and I now run  a small but growing sourcing and logistics services company here in Shenzhen, China (founded in Hong Kong in mid-2011) called Capstone Pacific (www.cap-pac.com). Before this, I had 5 years experience in sourcing from China remotely, importing and then selling online in both Australia and the UK. I now work on the ground at Chinese factories on a daily basis to source, manufacture, quality control and then deliver products around the world for small-medium business clients who import from China. This places myself and my team in the perfect position to work face-to-face with the selected Vizibelt factory - a short drive from us. You can be assured we have the expertise to keep to our time and quality promises as Chinese manufacturing assistance and logistics is what we do!

How can you help?

The goal is to raise $7000 to do the first decent sized production run, to hopefully make Vizibelts available to customers around the world. By pledging for one of the Perks packages offered, you will not only be one of the first people in the world to receive a Vizibelt, though you will have directly contributed to bringing a product to market that can be of real use.

Each supporter will also receive a unique Vizibelt souvenir (not yet finalised) to show that their contribution enabled Vizibelt to launch.

Delivery Timeline:

Production is ready to commence and at the latest this will be at the end of October (units would start shipping to you all by late November). If there is good interest early on in the Indiegogo campaign, production should be able to start earlier!

Shipping times for regular international postage from Hong Kong are 7-21 days for most destinations around the world. If you select Express Courier for $15 extra (or for free on some packages), you will receive the delivery within 3-5 days of being sent from our facility here in China! The Express Courier option means you can be assured of delivery no later than 7th December, and possibly by late November.

Ordering of components/materials will start in good time to assure that we experience no delays to the delivery plans. This is one of the advantages of being on the ground in China, we will keep a very close eye on everything and eliminate problems before they cause delays.

As you can see, the Blue, Orange and Green are standout in the third picture (far left, middle and far right). We are working on perfecting Pink, Red and White versions as there is still some ugly discolouration at the centre of those, so they are not available yet.
