Changing the World:
We have brought our award-winning* program into schools worldwide, changing lives as we go. And I have been part of another antibullying program enacted in several upstate NY schools, and soon schools in Washington State...and Australia!
In short, I spent time in schools talking about bullying and other character education points. Then the students take control and brainstorm, write, plan, produce, and exhibit their work as a movie. Check the video above to see one class in action, and hear their feedback! This is for a program called Better Actions Now, a branch of How to UnMake a Bully.
Instructor Mike Feurstein has been teaching for over a decade in various capacities, and for the past few years has been creating character content with students. These movies have been used in classrooms all over the world, and the impact has already been seen in several school climates.

*Two-time Telly-Award winning (Bronze AND Silver); Sage Colleges Champion of Character; Kids' First Coalition for Quality Childrens Media; ADL endorsed; adopted by several award-winning antibullying programs in use around the world.
We won higher honors than Disney, AOL Media, Warner Bros and other institutions.
Why We Need the Boost:
We cannot fly our complete studio production package to Australia. So we'll need to rent some lighting and grip gear for the kids to use on their set. Gear is rented from local television stations for package prices, often upwards of $1,000 weekly.
We also require transportation for this gear to and from school and the locations set forth by the script. For that we'll need to rent a van.
We estimate a rental of vehicle and gear will cost us about $5,000 for the time we're there. We may require more, so we welcome any size contributions. After IndieGogo and PayPal fees, we will take in $4,650.
Mike is paying for the above out of his own pocket if the full funding isn't reached. He is dedicated to this project, and to seeing it through til the end.
Here is a video of the kids on set:
Children report that directly following our programs, they notice a significant change in the climate of their classroom.
Some say the bullying has completely stopped.
During our program, some children raise their hands and admit to having bullied in the past, and admit to wanting to change. Teachers say children watch our movies with a rapt attention unparallelled to previous instructional videos they've tried.
Your contributions will directly affect the product these children create. The products help other classrooms experience these wonderful results.
