Pour accomplir la vision dun film, il faut plus quune quipe crative hors pair, cela demande la vision de partenaires croyant profondment en le projet et prts sengager entirement pour nous aider le voir aboutir.

We have created a short film with a stunning cast that rarely is associated to short films to bring an objective point of view to this discussion. Offering three different perspectives on the topic of euthanasia without passing any personal judgment of our own, we will be using the film and the all star cast to allow people to see the various aspects of the discussion; Medical, Ethical & Spiritual.

Nous avons conu un court mtrage, soutenu par un casting qui ne sassocie que rarement des courts mtrages. Et nous avons voulu offrir un point de vue objectif cette discussion. En proposant trois perspectives au thme de leuthanasie sans pour autant laisser transparatre un quelconque jugement personnel, nous souhaitons utiliser ce film et les talents qui y sont associs pour permettre au public dentrevoir plusieurs aspects de la discussion : mdical, thique et spirituel.

The Film:

Our film is titled in French Un Dernier Regard sur la Vie. Literally meaning A Last Look at Life it is a chance to show the last look of three different people in the process of going through euthanasia.

Notre film sintitule Un Dernier Regard sur la Vie, une opportunit de montrer le dernier regard de trois personnes diffrentes lors du processus et de lexprience de leuthanasie.

Synopsis:

Illness has consumed sixty year old Jean Martin and eventually draws him into a deep coma. Jeans close family remains at his beside throughout the long days of Jeans suffering in unconscious silence. Each day the family suffers through Jeans agony and eventually discuss with the medical team the options they have available to them to end Jeans ongoing suffering. Jeans family considers deeply the option of euthanasia and finally gives permission to his medical team to end Jeans life. Jean aware of everything around him but unable to physically connect with his family through this time; he will be the only witness to the experience he will face on his journey to the after life.

Jean Martin, soixante ans, vient dentrer dans le coma des suites dune longue maladie. Jean, inconscient, est allong sur son lit dhpital, entour de sa famille proche, de son mdecin et de linfirmire qui lui procure ses soins journaliers. La famille dbat avec le corps mdical sur les conditions de survie de Jean et la possibilit de mettre un terme la souffrance et lagonie de Jean qui leur sont devenues insupportables. Aprs une longue et mre rflexion, la famille donne le droit au mdecin de pratiquer leuthanasie sur Jean. Seul Jean ou sa conscience, va affronter le temps qui lui reste imparti, et tre le tmoin du combat qui se mne dans la maladie, pour vivre et exprimenter le chemin conduisant laprs-vie.

All profits we make from this film will go to the HUMANYWORLD Foundation to use in their work in helping various NGOs achieve the great work they are doing around the world. It is a simple principle, profits from the film do not go to a big corporation, but rather to those who truly need it whether it be in for starving children, to researchers seeking a cure for cancer or for who ever you want to support we will even give one lucky person that choice.
