WHO: Anyone 18+ can participate, general admission open to all ages
WHAT: 3 sport tournament/triathlon – flag football, soccer, volleyball. In addition, there will be a beer garden(s), vendors, food, family friendly activities, and an opportunity to win great prizes!
WHEN: Saturday, July 27th, 2013
WHERE: Starfire Sports Complex, Tukwila, WA (practice home of the Seattle Sounders)
HOW MUCH: $50 for individuals (early-bird registration only)

WHAT IS TRUATHLETE?
TruAthlete is a three-sport triathlon-style tournament involving competition in flag football, soccer, and volleyball. Teams of 7-10 (at least 3 women) will compete in a March Madness style tournament throughout the day for cash prizes and the crown, TruAthlete. There will be two divisions, Division I for elite athletes, and Division II for those looking for a new and exciting challenge.

Truathlete events will begin in Seattle with plans to spread to cities around the world. If you believe in competition, unity, and getting involved on the ground floor of something special, feel free to support us. If not, hmm... :)

WHO IS TRUATHLETE FOR?
Although competitors must be 18 or older, TruAthlete is for everyone and is a family friendly event. There will be tons of great activities and entertainment for people of all ages. A $10 general admission ticket will get you access to: live music, a beer garden featuring the best northwest brews, new and exciting local vendors, delicious food, competitive activities, raffle prizes, and much more. Celebrities in both the sports and entertainment industries will be on hand for autographs and photo ops with fans.

WHO IS BEHIND TRUATHLETE? CAN WE PULL IT OFF?
Hell yes we can pull it off. We have an incredibly talented team of dedicated and hardworking, ass kicking individuals that for the last several months have been eating, sleeping, and breathing TruAthlete to ensure a killer event. While you were at home sound asleep, we were pulling all-nighters to make sure we have the best team of talent, the best music, the best beer, the best of everything for TruAthlete.

NATHAN RILEY: Nate is the founder of TruAthlete, a born athlete, business man, and inspiring leader with an impressive résumé of accomplishments, including credits as a Producer in a Hollywood film and several years operating a  successful wedding business. In the fall of 2012, Nate handed his business off to his partner in order to dedicate his talents to building TruAthlete full time. A few words with Nate and its clear that he is a driven and talented young man with a bright future ahead of him.

AMBER BUTLER: Amber is a brilliant young entrepreneur with business in her blood and a passion for sports. She attended the University of Washington and worked several years with Husky Sports Medicine before launching a successful business in the service industry in 2009. She has since worked in the fields of project management and business innovation, as well as event management. She is a masterful project manager and has come on board as the VP of Events and Operations at TruAthlete.

BRIAN ABBEY: Brian has worked in entertainment marketing, development, advertising, and event promotion for several years with Howell at the Moon Productions, an award winning Northwest production company, including work on  several documentary films and managing a 150 city world tour of the award winning documentary film, “Pedal-Driven: a bikeumentary”. He has done extensive event planning, including the World Premiere of Pedal-Driven in Monterey, Calif. in 2011. In addition, he has produced a hit dance single, and licenses music for film and TV for Simplify Recordings, a highly regarded Northwest EDM record label. He is a full time employee at TruAthlete and is working as Director of Marketing & Development for TruAthlete to ensure it reaches its full potential.

TEAM: In addition to the three principals above, there is a very talented team handling the details of sponsorship, PR, legal, marketing and social media. When it comes to business – as in sports – it’s all about teamwork, and we’re pretty stoked to have a full team of gurus, ninjas, and rockstars ready to make it happen.
