Here’s the latest with Trash Amps:

We’ve been hard at work cutting cans all day! It’s a long process, so we set up on the couch and listen to music on our Trash Amps while we work. Today we cut the tops off more than 100 cans. Next step is to wash them out and make sure there’s no sharp edges. It’s a labor of love, and we’re happy to do it for you!

Our manufacturer says production is running on schedule, so that’s great to hear! We are preparing the cans, grills, and packing slips so when the speakers arrive, we can ship them out to you the next day. As we mentioned in our last update, your speakers will arrive in early May.

Thanks so much for your support of Trash Amps. We can’t wait to ship them to you so you can enjoy them!

Hi Friends!

It’s a new year and we hope you’re off to a great start in 2013! We are still very much honored that you supported Trash Amps on Indiegogo! With the funds you helped raise, we placed a purchase order with our manufacturer for 1000 Gen 2 Trash Amps! During the past few weeks, the factory has been gathering all of the materials needed for production. Unfortunately, there’s been a snag.

Here’s the deal… We require our manufacturer to use a special speaker driver (to give you high quality sound) and this item is currently low on stock. We feel really frustrated becuase our manufacturer confirmed the delivery date specified in our campaign. They should have confirmed that all parts were in stock!

There’s a new batch of speaker drivers being made, but they won’t be available until the last week in February. After they arrive, the factory will assemble the Trash Amps and ship them to us in Sunnyvale, CA. We will then immediately ship them out to you. We estimate your Trash Amps will arrive to you in early May – stay tuned for updates.

We are disappointed that we cannot deliver your Trash Amps sooner. This is our first time using a manufacturing partner, and we’re learning as we go. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for the delay. Benjamin Franklin once said, “Energy and persistence conquer all things.” We won’t rest until the speakers are in your hands playing music :-) We are happy to be partnering with you, many thanks.

WE DID IT! Last night Trash Amps reached their goal of $16,000, and we owe it all to you! Thank you so much for supporting us ’til the end!

Now, with 4 hours left, we just passed $17,000 raised! Thanks everybody, this is awesome!!!! Trash Amp Gen 2 is coming!
