OUR STORY

In 2010, fraternity brothers and old friends Madison Wickham and Ryan Young started TotalFratMove.com with a series of 30 posts. Over the next two-plus years the site exploded on college campuses across the country, where it now entertains millions of people every month.

TotalFratMove.com is a top comedy destination on the Internet among college undergrads. The website provides the blunt and hilarious “frat” comedy that you came to love in college and is the go-to humor site on campuses across the country.

First the popular website, then the best-selling book, and now we are making an original fraternity comedy – TOTAL FRAT MOVIE.

TOTAL FRAT MOVIE

We are in pre-production for TOTAL FRAT MOVIE and are scheduled to begin filming this Fall. TOTAL FRAT MOVIE is a feature film full of the authentic fraternity humor that hasn't been seen on screen since ANIMAL HOUSE. TOTAL FRAT MOVIE will define Greek life for a generation and set the new standard for college fraternity films. Fan support turned TotalFratMove.com into a top comedy site on college campuses and now we need your help with the movie. 

SYNOPSIS

In the opening scene of the film, a heinous act occurs that gets a fraternity suspended. Three years later, six of the former pledges must band together to resurrect the fraternity and restore the brotherhood to its past glory.

In order to put their house back on top, the brothers must come together and recruit a worthy pledge class. Their idea- throw the greatest rush week the school has ever seen.

HOW YOUR SUPPORT HELPS THE FILM

We want to make the greatest fraternity movie ever. Between bankers and a few wealthy alums we have commitments for a minimum budget for the film, and now we are turning to our fans, to help us substantially raise the bar. This is an independent film being made outside the studio system. You’ve seen Hollywood’s version of fraternity movies for the last 25 years, and they generally don’t ring true. TOTAL FRAT MOVIE will be YOUR version of fraternity life. We hope to embrace the vision of the website and will not allow notes from some GDI Hollywood executives to compromise the film.

The current story we have accounts for 25-30 days of filming. Thus far, with the funds raised from investors, the budget allows us to film for 18 days. That brief shooting schedule would not allow us to film everything we have planned. This raucous comedy begs for a longer shooting schedule and a bigger budget. More days will allow for more stunts, locations, extras, special effects, and general debauchery.

We estimate that it will cost $100,000 per shoot-day which is very moderate compared to traditional Hollywood films. As independent film makers we will be efficient and everything we raise will go to making a better movie.

The first $100,000 will help film a more elaborate and outrageous opening scene. The second $100,000 will allow us to shoot our closing scenes with a more powerful climax. A third day would enable us to shoot a planned sequence involving special effects and hundreds of characters. Every day we can add to our shooting schedule, will make the movie that much funnier and that much better. Our flex goal of $300,000 would allow us to add three days of shooting, but we are hoping to add as many days as possible to the schedule (with an ultimate goal of 30 days).

We feel a big obligation to produce the kind of movie that is worthy of the Total Frat Move name. We want the freedom to make a movie that’s representative of fraternity life today and the Total Frat Move brand. Every pledge helps us get closer to making that vision a reality.
