THE THUNDERFUNK MOVIE
An action-comedy about three stoners who smoke the last of their weed, but instead of purchasing more, they rob a pound of THUNDERFUNK from their gangster Mexican drug dealer. In the midst of their get-away they crash into a cop car, barely escape the law, and decide to ditch their car off a cliff to get rid of the evidence. They get into one crazy adventure after another, as they evade the law, hitchhike to a hotel, and end up at a crazy party where they go on an acid trip and the gangsters hunt them down. The movie is a mix between The Hangover, Half Baked, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It's a fun, wild, thrill-ride of dark comedy and insane stoner-action. After watching The Hangover, the first time, and thinking, "this would be so sick if it were a stoner-action movie", and so it began. The script is complete after seven drafts and multiple rewrites with critiques by Walter Moise, Tim Chizmar, J.G. Moore, Yacer Lopez, and TNA Wrestler Rob Van Dam. RVD is also acting in a cameo in the party scene, something that you'll NOT want to miss, especially if you're a stoner.
If we're able to reach our goal we will be able to make a feature film with all of the car crashes, gun shots, blown out windows, and insane car chase sequences. If we are able to reach $10,000, we will make a Thunderfunk short film (30 min) to submit to festivals, to generate even more interest, and raise the rest of the funding to make the feature film - and you will still get all of the rewards, including the Thunderfunk short film. In the short film, it will have all of the highness, stoner-action, violence, and nudity that's in the feature. We have adapted the feature into a 30 minute short that will "blow" your mind. Literally.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
WARNING: Throughout the entire THUNDERFUNK movie there is sex, action, violence, weed smoking, bad-ass fight scenes, parties, and car chases. So we are going to need lots of special effects and stunts to carryout the original script. We're going to need a decent budget, but nothing compared to a studio budget. The budget will cover all the essentials that any film maker would need to make an amazing action movie. Some of these include:
- Equipment (including Props, Camera Equipment, the RED EPIC)
- Stunts (Stunt Coordinator and Stunt Men)
- Special Effects (Compositing and Animation of car crashes)
- Location Permits
- Food for Actors and Crew
- A Mini-Copter to capture the action
The reason to contribute to THUNDERFUNK is to support film makers and artists accomplish their dreams. We want to make something great. Something epic. Something like if Pineapple Express, Grandma's Boy, Half Baked and the Hangover all had a four-way and birthed the craziest, adventure-packed, stoner-action-comedy ever. One that you could watch over and over, and enjoy every time.
Our goal is to make Thunderfunk an amazing film that anyone can watch, not just for today or tomorrow, but for years and years to come. The best part about donating is that you can say that you helped get Thunderfunk made. Not only will you feel good, but you will have contributed to stoner movie history! And the best part is, you can get cool prizes for contributing, like THUNDERFUNK on DVD!
THE THUNDER IN THE FUNK
Not only can you have the movie, but you can also get some sick prizes. I actually bought a poster myself, since every prize is going to be crafted like a piece of fine art. We have found places to print posters, create DVD cases, make T-Shirts, Jackets, and the works! We have everything set, so all you need to do is pick what you want, and I guarantee you will get it, like the guy at the Men's Warehouse, "I guarantee it." Everyone will get their rewards and we will make the sickest stoner-action movie no matter what. By further pushing the film and raising funding any possible way. I don't care if we have to host a bake-sale! We won't stop until this film gets made.
We appreciate all of the support, so it's well worth it to give you some f*cking awesome rewards for contributing! We even added some limited edition items like the first 100 people to contribute $5 will get a download of the Thunderfunk movie (or short film)! You can also get an Autographed Poster or tickets to the premier! I want everyone to be able to see the movie without blowing the bank, which is why you can get a download for only five dollars. AND, it's insane for a crazy-ass stoner-action comedy. The movie will be entered into festivals, and we will even rent a private theater if we have to, and host our own premier. You get THUNDERFUNK on DVD for twenty dollars. And for fifty dollars, you get an Autographed Poster, the Thunderfunk DVD with Special Bonus Features... and they're REALLY special, with outtakes and director commentary! So check out all of the prizes over on the right side of the page, and see what you can get.
WE WILL BE ADDING TO THE PRIZES AS WELL, to keep it interesting. So keep your eyes peeled for NEW PRIZES.
PUFF, PUFF, PASS THE THUNDERFUNK!
Lastly, and probably the best way that you can help us is by sharing Thunderfunk with your friends. That's some of best promotion that we could ask for. Tell them how much you liked the Trailer, or the videos, or the characters. If you love the project, don't keep it to yourself. Share it with your friends, post it on their wall, and thell them about it. And, most of all, don't forget to puff, puff, pass the Thunderfunk!

Prepare for some J.G-sanity people. J.G. Moore's presence as a comedian is ridiculous, hysterical, and obscene. If I contribute, when can I redeem my perks?
After our deadline we will start to manufacture and ship all physical merchandise directly to the address you provide. The screenings, parties and DVDs etc. can only happen after the film is completed so this will take a bit of time. Hang with us! Any perks associated with cast/crew will be arranged following our campaign’s end date.
What if I don’t want a perk, I just want to contribute?
No problem, there is a button that you can select where you can only contribute.
What is a “limited availability” perk?
This is a perk that we can only offer in limited quantities, so once they are gone, they’re gone! In instances where your pledge level includes “all of the above” from previous reward levels, these will NOT include limited perks. (The limited perk is: Thunderfunk Download)
Can I increase my pledge once it’s been made?
YES! Once you donate to our campaign, you may want to change your incentive perk to a different one, or increase your pledge amount. Go for it!
Can I gift an incentive?
YES! That’s very awesome of you. If you would like to donate to the film but give the perk to someone as a gift, go through the normal process of making a donation in your name. For billing purposes, make sure the billing address is yours. After our deadline, we will send a message to you through IndieGoGo to the email address you provided. We will request the address from you at that time. Please reply with the information of the person who should receive the perk, and the address where to send it.
The average Low budget film spends over 250k, but we'll be able to make a film that's just as good for half that. A $110K budget is what we will actually get. After the IndieGoGo fees we will receive about 116k and we will use about 6k on the rewards and prizes. Our team of professionals can take this budget and make a movie as good as DRIVE or CHRONICLE. If you haven't seen those, you definitely have to see them. Both have great action scenes.
